Alcohol Consumption After Acute Pancreatitis

Hi All, I was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis in March of 2013. I was a very heavy drinker for about 10 years up till then. My problem began only after taking a regiment of steroids for neck stiffness. I quit drinking for about 20 months and seemed to be doing OK as long as I ate small portions and took my Creon.
I have since gone back to drinking (moderately) and have been doing OK for the most part. I have experienced some discomfort if I got carried away. I was wondering if anyone else has continued alcohol use after developing pancreatitis, and if so, how have you fared? Thanks for your time and I'll appreciate any response.
