Will Aloe Vera Gel Help Mange or Make It Worse?

Question -- Will Aloe Vera Gel nourish the mange? In other words......I was thinking about applying an aloe vera/coconut oil rub down to ease and sooth the dryness and irritation of the frequent bathing. I bathe my Boston daily with Mite Avenge shampoo and dip him once a week with the borax solution. Will Aloe Vera Gel nourish the mange? Or will it also create an unfriendly environment for the mange?

Going on 3 months now. The mange is still present, although not out of control. Would love to conquer this condition without poison. Thanks.

Hello Jeff,

The mites feed on skin oils and dead skin cells, so the aloe vera will NOT nourish them. You might also consider oral evening primrose oil herbal supplement for dry skin.
