Need Help for Recurring Antibiotic Immune UTIs

Posted by Brooke (Sanford, MI) on 03/23/2026

Hello Lovely Friends,

Please help. I am new here, but desperate. I am at a point where it is dangerous for me to continue taking antibiotics. I've been on them for the past 6 years straight and every time I stop taking them, I develop a near deadly UTI, turned bladder infection which turns septic. How can I alleviate this for good? I've done all the things: AZO, no harsh soaps, free and clear laundry soaps, yada yada.

Please, I am losing my energy daily and I'm scared the next septic even will be the last.

It would be insane to try to help via internet. I found this site to find a Naturopathic Doctor in Michigan. You need up close personal monitoring and some serious probiotics among other things. Diet review also...

Brooke,

Consider MMS (Chlorine Dioxide) or colloidal silver. Silver is easier to take, so you can try that, 3 tablespoons a day at least 10 days, but I would do two weeks. (Sovereign silver works). Also make sure you take D-Mannose and cranberry, and in between silver doses you could take oregano oil. Easier to buy the emulsified pills, Gaia is a good brand. Take as directed.

If silver does not work, you can always do MMS, can get on Amazon.

I had them for years and finally took an antibiotic with silver, lemon, d-mannose, cranberry, small doses of hydrogen peroxide, etc. Also had a rife machine. It finally got rid of it but ended up with gastritis. Don't recommend the lemon or peroxide as it was too much for my stomach.

If you feel like you can take another antibiotic with the silver, the silver will boost it, but sometimes people can get rid of it with the silver and d-mannose, and cranberry.

Look up midwesterendoctor and read about DMSO which is a phenomenal effective medicine, you will have to drink it mixed with juice. It is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal & anti-protozoa. Healed me allover.

This is in response to ivybridge from TN re antibiotic immune UTIs: There is a natural product on the market called U.T. Vibrance Powder that I have used with great success at clearing U.T. I.s. It's primary ingredient is d-mannose, but it contains other natural ingredients that sooth and bring the bacteria in the bladder back into balance. The last time I had a U.T.I. was in 2018. I used two canisters to make sure it was gone. Since that time, I use plain d-mannose most days to keep the bladder in balance.

I looked more into recurring UTI's.The U.T. Vibrance Powder is a great choice. Depending on the damage to bladder walls. Their are other herbs that can help heal the bladder further.

In chinese medicine the urinary bladder meridian can have blockages, which can help cause uti's. If you walk pigeon toed or notice pain, discomfort, muscle knots along the back of leg down the middle, it zigzags across butt, and runs between the spinal cord and shoulder blades. look for ub meridian picture.

I have found that D3 deficiency can be a cause of reoccurring uti's. You need to look at what your eating and drinking. Coffee with sugar, pop or acidic foods and liquids will cause inflammation in bladder, aiding bacteria etc. to stick to the bladder walls. Your length of antibiotic use kills good and bad bacteria. You will need pro biotics for a few months or so. This is why I encourage going to ND. Just in case it's not simple.

Dear Brooke,

I am sorry to hear about these deadly and chronic UTI's - painful, discouraging, and in your case, life threatening!

I have had chronic UTI's for years. A year ago I was in the ER with one. I did do the week of antibiotics and then started on cornsilk tea. I buy loose, organic cornsilk. Each day I put 1 Tablespoon of the dry tea in a mason jar and pour boiling water over it. After a couple of hours I strain it and drink it. Daily. I have not had a UTI since. Sounds too easy, but for me it has been life changing.

I started back on nettle and red raspberry leaf, too. I add them to the cornsilk. (about a T. of each.) As I am menopausal, all things pelvic floor need all the help they can get.

I also do not eat sugar or much in the way of refined carbs.

I hope you find a solution to this. Please come back and let us know what worked for you!
