Is 50% Apple Cider Vinegar Solution Really Safe for Kittens?

Posted by Ali (Australia) on 02/09/2016

I'm actually quite beside myself as I used a 1:1 ratio spray of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar and water on my kitten as a flea preventative. He's only 8 weeks old and it seemed said to be a great natural remedy, however even this concoction burned my skin a little and my little darling wasn't happy at all, now licking incessantly. Is this really okay? I really hope it's okay for him!! Any thoughts to pacify my worries??? Thanks

You can always dilute the vinegar more. 1/4 vinegar with 3/4 water. But a cat will always try and get off what he thinks is offensive, so even that he may try to get off. And it is quite safe internally.

Apple Cider Vinegar has been used in many, many applications for pets and found to be quite safe.
