Best Remedy for Hidradenitis Suppurativa?

Posted by Bandit28 (USA) on 08/21/2026

I am having a hard time figuring out the best remedy for my condition. I have Hidradenitis suppurativa. I have read the remedies of HS. It started out as under the armpits. I now also have bad rashes with bumps that occasionally drain or leak in the folds of my upper thigh pelvis area…on both sides…..discoloration also. There are a couple spots in those areas that are painful/burn. I also have boils popping up on the folds of my buttocks. I am currently taking Tumeric powder/milk 3 times daily. I have just started the castor oil for the rashes but I'm not sure if that is the right remedy as I'm wondering if it is trapping the moisture in when I cover it with gauze because I'm getting white heads on the bumps. I have tried lining a maxi pad to my underwear to fit in the folds to help with any spreading or leaking. I have been using tee tree oil (diluted) to put on my boils. I want to try castor oil on the boils but I don't know how to cover them to keep them from staining my clothes. Please help!! I do not trust doctors or the pharmaceutical industry. I have had no fevers, nausea etc. Also, I am disabled and not able to stand or walk very long so I sit a lot! Am I using the right remedies and not waiting long enough? Do I try hydrogen peroxide? Apple cider vinegar? Any advice would be helpful!

Dear Bandit28,

You should go to your doctor and get Immune panel, Hormones checked: Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, also D3 levels. Sounds like your lymph nodes are stagnated and possibly hormones are out of balance. You can check your insurance to see if Naturopathic Doctor is covered in your area. You could try a baking soda/hydrogen peroxide poultice or turmeric/activated charcoal.

Thank you for your response. Thank you also for the website link. That's interesting about the lymph nodes especially since I'm no longer able to be active due to my disability.
