Can Elderberry Extract Cure Herpes 1, 2, and Zoster (Shingles)?

Given "Elderberry Extract's (Sambucus Nigra)" action which blocks viruses of all kinds from entering the cell wall (this prevents the virus from reproducing), so the virus rapidly dies off... I'm wondering if anyone has used Elderberry Extract for Herpes?
I've used it for flu, colds, and preventing hanta virus. Read about it in "Nature's Virus Killers" by David Williams (unsure if he is the author), and then verified with the US Center for Disease Control.
