Can I Use the Ivermectin I Already Have for My Dog?

Just a question. The vet has prescribed ivermectin 1% daily. I use ivermectin for horse wormer. Couldn't I use this on the dog as a salve and or orally?

I have heard that you can give this to animals and even yourself to get rid of worms.
I give my horse, dogs and cat diatamacious earth for worms but I still every now and them give them a regular wormer. I add it to their wet food. For the horse, I add it to her wet chopped alfafa everyday. A handful [about two tab.]

I took ivermectin for scabies orally and used a lot of it. I took the tablets so you would have to know the dosage before using it but it will work.
