Cat Suddenly Lost Her Meow. What Should I Do?

This is a Pet question. My husband passed away after a week in hospital. Now I've noticed that our cat has lost her voice. Do you think she cried while home alone and then when I went back to work, traveled for the funeral, etc and has laryngytis? She opens her mouth and no sound comes out. I don't want to wait if it's a serious issue, but don't want to go to the vet if it's just hoarse and will come back.

I am very sorry about the loss of your husband. My deepest sympathies. Did your cat recover her miaow?
