If I wasn't immune compromised with so many health problems, I would rush to the vet, but I am scared not just for his life, but for my life also. If my cat gets virus germs on his body, or inhales any, does anyone know how long until he would not have germs/virus on his fur and in his lungs? I don't want him to pass any to me. He is my only companion because I can't go near people anymore since I won't survive covid. If I don't have the vet treat him, he might not make it, and if I do have the vet treat him, I won't make it if I get any covid germs. I can't quarantine him after the vet, because I have to take care of him. I am the .1% of people that can't fight the virus with multiple comorbidities. I really need to find a cure for him at home so that it will save both of our lives. I am so upset, and don't know what to do if I can't heal him at home. He still won't eat or drink, or go to the bathroom.

My cat now is now constipated for 5 days. Possibly from his kidneys failing this week. He stopped eating and drinking, and that is probably the cause of the constipation: dehydration. I have been syringing a little chicken broth, water, and colloidal silver in his mouth, each at different times, for a few days, and now his stomach is bloated. Any ideas what I can do to help his constipation? I am going to try to syringe 3ml pumpkin puree in his mouth.

I am so sorry to hear about your cat. It does sound like you need some emergency care ASAP. There are mobile vets. Perhaps you can find one in your area, explain your situation and have someone come to the house, put your cat in a carrier and they could treat the cat in their car?

Similarly, can you get to a vet and have a technician come and get the cat from the car and then bring him back to you? They were doing that during Covid at all the vets in my area. Just some thoughts. Your cat must be severely dehydrated at this point and that is the first issue that must be addressed as time is of the essence.

My siamese is always constipated. She will not eat the puree's that should help and will not eat food with the oils on it. I was taking her periodically for an enema, which helps immediately, so don't wait too long. After that, I have to feed her the Royal Canin gastrointestinal fiber response cat food. It's pricy, but no more constipation. BTW, I had to leave her with my daughter when I traveled and she ate the food their cat eats (Purina One indoor). They said she never pooped after the second day at their house (4 days w/o pooping). First day at home with her special food, she had several massive, fairly hard poops and has been regular ever since. Every so often, I will mix her food with the regular food and see how she does. Sometimes she'll be okay for several weeks, others not even a few days. She tends to be barrel shaped, so I watch closely. When she's sticking out even farther, I know to take action.

It's a dry food. I can only get it at the vet or w/ a prescription from him if I want it online. On my budget, it's expensive but less expensive than routine enemas.

Sorry, didn't answer 2nd part yet. I took her to the vet and they did a water enema. They have a long tube that goes in far enough to be ahead of the solid stool and then this fluid pushes the solid stool out as it softens. They may add a little soap, I think, but not much. She tolerates the procedure very well.
