Hello Mrs. Baig,

Do you know why there is wetness/discharge in the first place? Was there a scratch to cause an infection or does your cat have allergies? Is your cat one of the brachycephalic breeds?

This information will help folks give you more accurate advice.

Mrs. Baig, I wrote a post a few days ago regarding the use of colloidal silver for eye irritation/inflammation/infection for my various animals. It works better than prescription ophthalmics, and is more well tolerated by our pets because it doesn't sting or blur their vision. Simply soak a clean soft cloth with the solution and wipe the eye area a few times a day. My dogs experience eye allergies a few times a year. The silver works every time. Hope it works for you also.

A simple and effective remedy is Chamomile tea. Tea bags when nice and warm held to his eye several times a day. This has been used in Europe for ages and it works. One concern is allergies. It is so wide spread. The vet meds don't seem to work. You could also use an eye dropper and use warm tea.

All the best, Namaste, Om
