Constant Diarrhea in Grandmother After Painkiller Injections - Need Help!

Posted by Koper (Poland) on 10/15/2024

Hello, I have a problem with my 85-year-old grandmother. After painkiller injections, she contracted clostridium bacteria. She has constant diarrhea that has been going on for a month. She spent the last 10 days in hospital, but her condition worsened. She's home now, but we still can't stop the diarrhea. Even water causes immediate diarrhea. I assume it's because of the PPIs they gave at the hospital. What can you do in this situation? I give her barley water for colostridium, but it makes the diarrhea worse.

I am so sorry to hear of your grandmother's battle with C-diff.

On Earth Clinic's C-diff page, many people eventually found relief with lots of probiotics (supplements as well as probiotic foods – kefir, yogurt, cultured buttermilk, fermented foods, kombucha, etc.).

The most potent probiotic seems to be Saccharomyces boulardii.

FlorastorMAX was mentioned.

Check with your local health food stores in Poland. If they don't have the exact product, they probably can recommend an equivalent (as long as it contains Saccharomyces boulardii).

Or perhaps you can contact Florastor online. They say it's the #1 probiotic worldwide so they might have distributors in Poland.

What a cherished grandchild you are. I wish the best of luck to you and your grandmother.

YES

I'M 95 a couple years ago when my late wife had C-Diff and her docter had nothing more to offer to stop it I suggested that she try some of my Lugal 5% iodine solution. Out of desperation she agreed but wanted her on bottle so she probebly toke a dropper full and within a day or so no more C-Diff.

She was a big PHarma girl and me the alternative guy/herbal guy so many MANY times we didn't see eye to eye.

So I hope this may help some one
