My Homemade Colloidal Silver Lost Strength Overnight - Normal?
Hi...new member and first post! :) I'm new to colloidal silver and made my first batch a couple of weeks ago. After a few hours, we called it "done" and it was 7ppm. I put it in amber glass bottles and stored them in a dark cabinet. When I checked the strength the next day, it was only 4ppm...it's still at that strength today.
Is it normal for it to lose a little strength? Also, is 4ppm strong enough?
My husband and I take about 3 teaspoons, four times a week. Is that enough to stay healthy?
Thanks! Darlene

Hi Darlene,
Re: your Colloidal Silver concentration issue.
First, you can get some variability in the testing unit. You have so little CS in your water that a little change appears as a lot. If you had 50 ppm then there might be a change in remeasuring later due to some level of settlement but the ppm out to stay within 20 percent. You are using I suspect a slow electrolysis method; I use a fast one and if you youtube/earth clinic colloidal silver, you can see how I do it.
Now as to effectiveness; I test mine all the time. I am my own guinea pig. If I have a start up of a sinus infection I immediately irrigate with my own CS. If the infection/stuffiness goes away immediately, then I know the CS is doing its job.
I've used the slow made CS brands and found that my sinus infection did not go away but as soon as I switched back to my own fast made CS, poof, infection gone. I don't argue with those who claim their CS is better... I just know from lots of experience what works for me. And I have hair tests performed on me every few years and never had any toxic metal build up.
