My wife is currently on dialysis and is low on hemoglobin, need your advice on how to increase to normal level?
I know they have been giving her a shot for this issue.

Hi Peter,

You never told me if your wife started using the correct dose of magnesium, but that would be helpful for her kidneys, diabetes and for increasing hemoglobin.

There are many foods that are useful for increasing hemoglobin levels and a quick google search will give you a list of the best foods that she can also tolerate.

L Lysine will also increase hemoglobin as will the combination of vitamin B6, B12 and vitamin B9 (Folate). Vitamin C can enhance iron absorption. Her doctor may already be giving her Folate and iron.

If her doctor does not already have her on a specific vitamin D regimen, he needs to do so because that will significantly increase hemoglobin, have benefit for her kidneys as well as work in synergy with her diabetes regimen.

Your wife's total condition needs to be taken into account, so anything you are considering adding to her regimen, including new foods or supplements, needs to be reviewed and approved by her doctor and or transplant team.
