DMSO for Skin Tumor Burns - Need Help

Hi everyone,
A quick question..I use coconut oil, and rub into a skin tumor, then apply dmso, which burns/itch like crazy. I've considered using my toothbrush to attend to the itch, but I can't seriously bring myself to that yet.
In the meantime, if I dilute dmso half and half with bottled or maybe distilled water, will it burn /itch my insides, like it does on the outside? Thank you in advance.
