End Stage Osteoarthritis in Shoulders and Mood Disorder - rn
I have end stage osteoarthritis in both shoulders at 52. I had to stop lifting weights for upper body. Psychologically this was tough. And I became generally less active, more like a couch potato. I have limited ROM. Struggle to wash under my arms, the top of my head. Struggle to put on a shirt or jacket. Can not reach into a shelf above shoulder height. Yet. Minimum pain or I got used it. Ongoing discomfort, but manageable. I have learnt to cope. And take this in my stride.
I have chronic pancreatitis. This resulted in only runny stools. Exhaustion. Stabbing pain in my side. Loss of appetite. I cleaned up my diet, took natural supplements, including RSO. And I notice pancreas seldom. Unless I eat junk food or sugar then I suffer from pain in my side and explosive runny stool.
The biggest challenge has been my mind. This is something I have struggled with all my life since a very young kid. Mood swings. Anywhere from elevation to aggression. Very extreme. I was hoping the RSO would manage that but it has not been as helpful here as I had hoped. I only take it at night otherwise I am too sluggish in the day. Three to four drops at night. None in the day. Again I find diet and lifestyle to play a pivotal role. The mood disorder has had a devastating effect on me. But worse on my wife, two pups and two kitties. Nothing physical. But I become loud and I have been told I exude negativity and “poison”. I started detox, but backed off. I am now restarting.
Heimdall,
You've got a lot going on with yourself.
Regarding the chronic pancreatitis, melatonin has been shown to help and melatonin helps to maintain the gut microbiome and it has antifibrotic effects which would be important in chronic pancreatitis. Melatonin is also anti inflammatory :

Regarding the ESOA, doctors have little to offer in this category short of surgery. Things that are likely to be helpful are collagen, gelatin/Jell-o, bone broth, berberine, hyaluronic acid, astaxanthin and glucosamine liquid to improve your gut microbiome and consequently your health in general.
