Need Help For Bulldog With Cushing's Disease, Foul Smelling Wounds
My English bulldog is 8 & a few months ago he was diagnosed with cushing's disease. He has huge bald patches that are raw!! The vet is referring to them as hot spots bc of the cushing's disease his healing process is slow. He has been on 2 rounds of antibiotics & it's doing nothing!! I clean it 2 times daily with iodine scrub that the vet also gave to me, also allow it to sit on the wounds for 5 minutes. It smells really bad and extremely foul!! I don't know what else to do for him??? He also is on the medication for the cushing's disease to help reduce & slow down some of the side effects.
If there is anything I might be able to do at least to get rid of the terrible smell and also to speed up the healing process for him? Any kind of information would be so helpful! Thank u!!
