Need Help for Fibromyalgia Foot Pain

Posted by Linda (Brisbane, Queensland ) on 07/10/2022

I have chronic pain in my left foot which has worsened over the past two weeks. Staring in my big toe and now on the inside of the arch I can barely walk. I have fibromyalgia but have never experienced this intense pain it's now unbearable to walk on. Has anyone with fibromyalgia had this or have any tips or should I seek medical attention?

Linda,

It doesn't work for everyone, but it might be worth trying magnesium chloride oil (mag oil) spray on the affected areas. The reason is not yet understood, but mag oil for some people can reduce nerve pain caused by different reasons such as fibromyalgia. If it helps you, magnesium glycinate taken orally may be additive.

Here is a link to a typical product :

Other supplements that have shown benefit are vitamin D, fish oil, melatonin and acetyl l carnitine. These all have studies to back their use in fibromyalgia.

Dear Linda,

Is it possible that you are dealing with gout in addition to fibromyalgia? Severe big toe pain is a red flag for that.

I have had it a few times and do not fit the typical profile for a gout sufferer…

Anyway, please look at Earth Clinic's gout page it has so many good remedies and more information about gout.
