Have Constant Diarrhea Nothing Helps For Long

Posted by Brenda (Alabama, US) on 02/08/2015

I have had diarrhea since I was in High School. I have diarrhea whenever I eat anything. I had my gallbladder removed in 2014 but it did not help. My doctor said that there was nothing he could do for me and told me to take over the counter Imodium. Well that did not work for long and I try not to use it everyday, but my diarrhea is getting worse. I have a new car that I am afraid to drive because I am afraid I will soil the seat. I have tried charcoal capsules but they don't seem to work. I have tried just plain French's mustard and it seemed to work for a short time and have also tried sauerkraut and it also works for short periods of time.

After begging my gastro doctor to help me stop the diarrhea he put me on Bentyl which I was on when I first got this and it does not work either. I am going to try ACV and see if that helps any. I have heard that peppermint tea stops diarrhea too. I am scared to go out anywhere and if I do go out I make sure I don't eat anything and I dope myself up on Imodium. I am so scared because everything I eat seems to come right out about fifteen to twenty minutes after I eat it. I cannot believe the doctors cannot or will not do anything for me. I have tried everything to get rid of this I know there is something wrong but cannot find anyone who is willing to help me find out what it is. Glad I found this site, at least here there are people who have the same problem.

Hi Brenda. Sorry you are going through this. What you are describing could be a number of conditions, such as ulcerative colitis, e. coli, parasites, or irritable bowel syndrome,e to name a few. Have you been tested extensively to see if you have an autoimmune disease?

If this were me, I would make immediate dietary changes to get the diarrhea under control, such as eliminating gluten and dairy. Eliminating inflammatory foods is critical to getting chronic diarrhea under control.

Once you find your trigger foods and eliminate them, you can then try supplements or home remedies one at a time. I suspect apple cider vinegar will only aggravate your condition, but try a little bit and see if it helps. Have you tried slippery elm, probiotics and/or turmeric?

Hi, I would try the ACV and see what happens. I have taken a tablespoon before I eat and it seems to help... and today I just read about something called black seed oil with cumin.... I have never tried it but I might now that someone said it cured her stomach issues and all of that..

For diarrhea, use some food grade diatomaceous earth (DE). This simple remedy will have several effects. If you have parasites, it will clean out your colon plus, bind your loose stools. This is a very safe remedy to take. I ingest it daily as part of my wellness regimine. Do the following:

1. Take a tsp of DE twice a day in 8 oz of water for 3 or 4 days. Try to take it before meals.
2. Afterwards, slowly build up your tolerance to 1 tablespoon a day, in a glass of water or other beverage. You have to keep stirring it.

DE has a constipating effect so, if you suffer from diarrhea, it will give you solid stools. You can order food grade DE from Amazon. Just research it - it's great!

Warning: Only use food grade diatomaceous earth. The pool grade DE will cause harm...just be mindful! Good luck!

Once the condition is fully involved, you must stop treating symptoms and remedy each facet of the problem, or the disease continues.

I have ibs d. When I tried the black seed oil, my diarrhea got worse. If you start out slow (I did not), you should be able to get a feel for how it afects you. I now take 1 tsp bso every morning and do alright (not perfect, some days it gets me). Go slow--any oil can get the bowels moving.

Go bland with diet--eat the things everyone says not to-like white bread, white rice, white potatoes, etc until it calms down. Then, slowly add things like lima beans, oatmeal, baked chicken (low fat) and other non fatty meats and fish. I lived off saltine crackers in high school, so I know. leave peelings off of fruits and vegs. You can add metamucil (it's not a laxative, it absorbs fluid and binds/thickens bowel contents.) Take the time to really calm things down, then go slowly when adding foods.

You can try any of the following for diarrhea:

1) Boil some milk. Do not add sugar. Let it cool. Hold your nose and drink it.

2) Make a pot of rice (I use Uncle Ben's converted). Add 1 chicken bouillon cube to the recipe on the box. It used to be something like this: Boil 2 1/4 C. water, 1 T. butter, 1/2 tsp. salt and one chicken bouillon cube. Once it is boiling, add 1 C. rice. Cover and cook on low for 20 minutes. Then add 1 more T. rice when you reach the 20 minutes and stop the burner. Stir. Let it sit covered 5 minutes.

3) A last tip is that cheese should stop diarrhea. Make a grilled cheese sandwich? That always seems to settle an upset stomach for me. I use gluten-free bread for mine though!

Here is my remedy for diarrhea: Food grade diatomaceous earth.

Start with 1 tsp. in the morning in a glass of water. Stir - then guzzle it down. Work your way up to 1 tablespoon a day.

Again, only use food grade. When I travel overseas and get the "runs", I have this handy.

I think you will be surprised how well it works. For people with normal bm's, they have to drink plenty of water because DE has a constipating effect.

Keep taking it for a long while - I take one tablespoon 3x a week. It keeps me running fine!

Good luck!

Brenda;

The diarrhea problem...

Likely the internal flora...the beneficial bacteria... is gone due to an infection. Onset was when you were in High School, so a definite time and prior to onset likely an infection, viral or bacterial.

The virus/bacteria/fungus may still be there making the condition worsening as you said. Certainly the beneficial bacteria is compromised.

If me, I'd take a lot of Colloidal Silver orally to see if the infection (assuming that is the culprit)...can be killed. The electrical charge of the silver will draw the opposite charge of the bacteria. I'd also take a LOT of probiotics to get the beneficial bacteria back to work. The Beneficial bacteria has the same charge as the CS so it is not harmed by the CS.

Lots of other helps. Yes to the ACV you mentioned. Yes to the diatomaceous earth. Anything to help the flora....BUT know that if the infection is not killed then recovery is unlikely. Hence, I'd be on the CS for at least 3 months...three tablespoons daily for the 3 months.

There was an episode on mystery diagnosis about a woman who had diarrhea all the time. Look it up. Secondly, people with crohn's disease have diarrhea all the time (patient heals thyself book)

That mystery diagnose episode I have mentioned about was about a woman having diarrhea all the time. In the end some sort of flap in her digestive system was surgically repaired to stop continuous bile flow into her intestines. Something like that.

And look into crohn's disease as well. The front page illustration of the book I have mentioned tells it all.

Try TURMERIC for diarrhoea. For many people, the downside of this wonderful spice is that it causes constipation. Others report that it is the ONLY thing with the power to stop diarrhoea in its tracks.
