Hearing Loss After Cold

A number of years ago, I had a cold, blew my nose too hard, and my right ear popped and has felt clogged ever since. I thought it would clear up on it's own, and I tried using various remedies but nothing has worked. A holistic doctor I saw said she through the Eustacian tube was clogged, but nothing she suggested to unclog it worked. Someone said that the virus I had with the cold embedded itself in my body and never went away. Does anyone have any suggestions for drops I could use to heal it? I've also heard that chiropractic adjustments can sometimes help. I would appreciate your help.
