Heavy Metal Detox for Autism
Greetings, I am concerned about my son. He's 34 yr old and he has Higher Functioning Autism. I've been his #1 advocate since he was born and throughout his life. He was diagnosed with autism at 27 months old. As an adult on the spectrum he has recently learned that he is being tracked .. he also is experiencing higher levels of anxiety. It's clear to me from all the research I've done, in specifically the year of which he was born 1992, that in these vaccine there were HIGHER levels of MANY metals and nanotechnology as with the COVID vaccine and I have to help him remove as much as possible.. oclearly he's effected and I am his only hope in finding the best safest way to guide him. Please advise me. We are willing to travel if NEEDED. I appreciate all that you do and what you can do to help my son. Susan White

Hi Susan,
Normally your doctor will first test for heavy metal poisoning to determine which metals are too high and then will start the patient on the proper chelating treatment. Since you feel the heavy metal exposure is from years ago, hair testing for heavy metals may be useful, but not so much for recent heavy metal exposure. Blood testing is generally considered more accurate.
Once your doctor starts the chelation treatment, it may be useful to take melatonin regularly if your son tolerates it well to help protect the body from toxicity caused by any freed heavy metals. People on the ASD are often low in night time melatonin production and release where melatonin would normally offers neuroprotective effects, circadian alignment as well as night time cleanup of toxic debris(autophagy). Use of oral melatonin in the evening can help restore autophagy, circadian rhythm and neural protection as melatonin and its over 10 metabolites act as highly potent antioxidants, radical scavengers and can help restore a compromised/damaged blood brain barrier (BBB) as heavy metals are established as being able to not only cross the BBB, but also damage it allowing other toxicants that should never be in the brain, to enter the brain and cause further damage.
Another useful supplement to act as a neuroprotectant, potent antioxidant, and anti-neuroinflammatory in ASD and during chelation is Astaxanthin. Both melatonin and astaxanthin are potent mitochondrial protectants and mitochondria are very often compromised in ASD.
The first step is to do the heavy metal testing to confirm the presence of heavy metals find out what heavy metals are at play and then his doctor can start him on the appropriate chelation therapy. If the testing does not confirm heavy metal toxicity, then it is time to consider other causes for the anxiety issue.
Other common symptoms of heavy metal toxicity are fatigue, brain fog and numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Given the length of time that you suspect the heavy metal toxicity has been present, other symptoms besides anxiety could likely be present.
Please keep us updated on your sons progress.
