Help Needed for Chronic Respiratory/Sinus Issues

Posted by Laura (Nj) on 06/26/2017

I have been dealing with severe respiratory/sinus issues for many years. Was hospitalized, on every asthma med and sinus surgery, did food allergy test (none) and now it's come to me being on prednisone is the only way for me to get relief. Sitting down I'm gasping for air. Also tried candida diet for a month didn't see a change. I know I have postnatal drip along with the asthma which makes it worse. I eat a dairy, gluten and mostly sugar free diet. I want to stay of the prednisone for good. any help would be greatly appreciated!

When minerals and water get out of balance the body will produce histamine. Histamine will create a lot of misery, salt thins mucus secretions and table salt lacks a lot of minerals, sea salt with iodine is what I use.

watercure by Dr. Batmanghelidj helped me overcome a lot of misery.

Apple cider vinegar, with the mother, 1 tbsp in 6-8 oz.water with a bit of honey can help, not hot or cold ..I drink with a straw

Ginger might help, 1/2 the slice of dime chewed and drink some water.<> If the liver is toxic it can cause sinus problems. Milk Thistle also helps me.

If your gut health got wiped out by steroids or antibiotics you might need some kefir, yogurt did not help me.

The teeth have the sinus cavities above the roots and possible use of colloidal silver or coconut oil mixed 50/50 baking soda paste applied on teeth at bedtime

Take aim, ....blessings, Charity

Hi Laura,

What kinds of things do you eat? It sounds to me like what you are eating could be contributing to your problem.

The first thing that came to my mind is for you to get 1,000 mg. vitamin C tabs and take one four times a day. See if that relieves sinus pressure and congestion. There is controversy over when it should be taken so you will have to experiment to see what you can tolerate.

I hope some others here can make helpful suggestions for you.

Hi. If you followed up on Charity's advice you would undoubtedly benefit.

In addition, I could also recommend the following points from a fellow sufferer!

  • Increase your water intake significantly.
  • Take at least 2 -4 Alfalfa 340 mg tablets per day subject to Doctor's advice.
  • Enjoy a hot Molasses drink with ACV and good quality Honey also if you like. Not if you are Diabetic though!!
  • Take one Turmeric tablet 400mg per day am and pm.Helps with the pain also.
  • Learn Coconut Oil Pulling and eat some.
  • Learn Ayurveda Indian breathing techniques. Every sufferer should!!
  • Hot water bottle under the head/neck upon retiring. Oh boy, this is so soothing!
  • Hat on head and cotton wool in ears if in a cold place but especially outside in a cold wind. Ignore what people might think-nobody going to die. Cotton wool in ears when showering.
  • Maybe some Vicks rubbed behind or under the ears. Keep away from eyes though.
  • Look up the Ayurvedic pressure points appropriate for your sinus condition and do those three to four times per day.
  • Regular use of the Netti Pot.

I hope you get at least some relief.

Cheers, Michael
