Mother With Foot and Ankle Sores Not Responding to Treatments

Posted by Stanley (Atlanta, Georgia) on 11/13/2015

My mom has a sore her left ankle and a sore on her right big toe. See the photo below: The sore on her ankle is on the outside the sore and on her right feet is on the left side her big toe.

I took her to a wound specialist and two doctors and the sores are still not getting well. They're draining, they look really bad and I've used triple antibiotic betadine peroxide ...they were getting well then they started back draining again. Any suggestions? Thank you.

HI U STANLEY, , , , , , , , , , , have personally seen problems like this solved with H2O2 IV's and suggest you contact Progressive Medical Center in Dunwoody there in Atlanta. They will solve the problem.

Stanley,

The sores are probably from a lack of circulation; so I'd start with natural (NOT synthetic) vitamin E. I'd start with 100 IUs daily and increase over a month to 400.

To kill the infection I'd coat the foot in clay (bentonite), or activated charcoal and let dry. (Clay plus water and apply wet and let dry.) Remove after an hour with warm water...very gently. I'd just try on a small part of the sore to see how the sore tolerates the application.

And then wrap in very damp white cloth of colloidal silver. I'd do that every day for a week and see if she improved. If so, I'd repeat for a month every other day.

For stubborn ulcer, sores, fire burns and sun burns I use this ointment topically:

1/2 cup (125 ml) sesame oil
2 tablespoons beeswax
1 tablespoon mastic gum

Mix all these ingredients and melt it using double boiler. Before put it in a jar I prefer to test a teaspoon of it in cold place to get certain level of thickness.

Note: The mastic gum is very necessary to rebuild the ulcers so choose a good kind.

This situation is common for elders with diabetes. Like Dave wrote-- poor circulation is the typical cause. My own mother suffered from this and she went through surgeries and amputations, none with lasting effects --it was all 'downhill'. This was before the web and the sharing of info "from the trenches", as we are blessed today through Earthclinic.

Some years back my mother-in-law began experiencing this malady, too. It begins with painfully cold hands and feet. I bought some dried yarrow and she began having a glass of the tea daily. This happily proved remedial in about a half-hour, her hands warming. The common yarrow is an old time remedy for poor circulation and it works. Ironically it grew everywhere around my mother's home. You may also have some growing nearby; but a pound of the dried herb can be bought through Amazon or Ebay. It is also offered in a pill form which might work though I have no personal experience with that. (I will add that I recently read of another poster here providing their own good experience with yarrow in healing the leg and foot sores of an elder.)

BTW, my mid-80's MIL began daily walking and has watched her diet --low in carbs and high in protein now. She's back to her normal but still takes a cup of yarrow tea, now-and-then.

Aside from this short-term remedy I would also recommend serrapeptase to open the arteries -- a three-month supply of the 120,000 units taken a half-hour before the morning meal. Serrapepatase is slow but it does seem to effectively open restricted arteries within a couple of months, as it has in my own anecdotal experience.

I would try raw manuka honey. if you can get it with a statement on the label saying active 15+that would be great. If not, I suspect the less potent ones would also work. My dog had a huge ulcer on his side that eventually healed with the honey, when antibiotics and antibiotic creams did nothing for it. It also helped to heal an open burn wound I had.

HI U STANLEY, , , , , , , , , , , , , saw another post to our original request for help with your mother's foot ulcers. All posts were good, but your mother's feet will probably have to be amputated before these treatments work. If blood circulation were not involved then they would work. You have not said, but I can almost promise you that she has diabetes.

I will tell you again , I have seen this several times and all were cured within two weeks with Hydrogen Peroxide IV's. That can be done by Progressive Medical Center in Atlanta. If you were close to me then I could do it with bagging her foot and using my medical ozone generator.

Lots of times natures things work and sometime only alternative medicine works. Myself , I try to use good judgement between the two.

I am so open minded that I will probably go the allopathic way of ablation to solve my heart electrical problem. I used EDTA Chelation to clean out the plumbing and it worked, so I don't need a by-pass. Learned that ablation has been used for the last 15 years to correct the heart's electrical problems with success. Still gathering data on that subject. However a few more scissions like the one the other day and I will be gone. So I have to make a decision very soon.

And you do to.

I'm so sorry for your mom's suffering. Try combining activated charcoal and raw honey to form a paste and generously apply - reapplying and wrapping overnight/s with Saran Wrap. Should help draw out and drain.

My 90-year-old mother has suffered from pressure sores between the butt cheeks for about three plus years. We tried, honey, A & D ointment, antibacterial ointment, anti fungal ointment Desitin diaper rash ointment. Some of it would sort of work, but the sores never completely went away and eventually came back full force. I remember with my grandsons regular diaper rash cream didn't work for them. Then I bought a tube of Burt's Bees diaper rash cream on sale. It worked like a champ on them and fast too. I recently asked my sister if we should try on our mother? I give my mother showers and I noticed the next time I came over to give her a shower her bottom was SIGNIFICANTLY better. I asked my sister if she thought I should still get her the Burt's Bees since whatever it was she was doing was working. Well, my sister had gone out the evening we talked and bought a tube. This stuff has been miraculous.
