Home Remedies Like Borax and ACV Making Arthritis Worse

ARTHRITIS INFLAMMATION AND PAIN

I have been doing a shot of ACV for about 3 weeks now and my arthritis is worse than ever. I am so disappointed in every home remedy I could find. I have also tried Borax topically and orally, DMSO topically, a multitude of vitamins, ivermectin, a dewormer kit (1 week in so far). Yesterday and today I can't walk because my feet are so inflamed and painful. I have to walk on my heels to get to the bathroom or get some water. They are throbbing even with them elevated. I can't use my hands because they are also inflamed and I can't bend one of my elbows, it is so stiff with inflammation.

I have an appointment with a rheumatologist in 2 days. I was hoping I could tell him I had success on my own but now I don't know what to do. I was already prescribed methotrexate, which I refused. I can't live this way. I'm 59 and my body is attacking me.

Any words of encouragement would help. I have read many success stories on this website but none seem to be working for me, I'm getting worse.

Hi Renee,

So very sorry to hear you are in so much pain. Can you also please post your diet for EC readers and what changes you've made to see if it helps (i.e., eliminating wheat or dairy)? Thanks.

@EC,

To be honest with you I am so confused with everything that I only went on the diet for a few weeks. I had cut out nightshades, pasta, sweets, powder creamer and bought organic, half and half and grass fed. I ate tons of onions and garlic, supposed to be anti inflammatory. But because I have been on and off of prednisone during this time I have no idea what was working and what wasn't. I hardly eat much as it is (I'm a picky eater) All I have during the day anyway is a protein shake with yogurt, protein powder, frozen berries, pineapple, collagen powder, banana and coconut oil, instead of mixed with water I mixed with pre made by me matcha green tea. My snacks are almond milk mixed with chia seeds (let it sit an hr., it's like pudding) Lots of walnuts, peanuts, sunflower seeds. My evening meal is old fashioned, meat, starch and veggie. I switched to rice because I thought it was OK, I guess not. I wasn't eating bread but it was not a gluten fee diet. I have a little low blood sugar sometimes and I need to eat something or I feel dizzy. I really can't live on salad. I practically live on coffee. I really only eat 2x a day because I don't eat in the AM. I need to eat a filling dinner because that's my main meal for the day. I'm still hungry if I don't have rice or a potato, maybe it's in my head. I have a hard time eating veggies because I never liked them but I force myself. I'm a meat eater. I love my pasta with meatballs but haven't had any in about 6 months because I'm afraid of it! When I say I'm off the diet I mean I haven't been eating as many onions, been eating some bread, having sugar in my coffee, not buying grass fed or organic and eating a few sweets or pizza etc here and there - maybe once a week. I still drink the shake every day but eat whatever for dinner. I've been to a lot of baby showers, weddings and meetings lately. Way too much food at these things. Probably all inflammatory.

Have you tried a carnivore diet.(follow Mikayla Peterson) she also suffered from excruciating arthritis and cured it with a carnivore diet. Try it for a few weeks and then slowly and carefully add some veggies in one at a time. She was never able to add in anything else, but everyone is different.

the manufacturing community has people SO confused, can I simplify your eating for you? eat only real food, that means if it has an "ingredient" label on it, its not real food. Eat whatever you want, imagine living 1000 years ago, we hunted, we foraged, we picked, we fished. I call it God's diet, eat only what you can hunt/fish/pick, that means fruits, vegi's, meats, REAL potatos, root vegitables etc. you also need to detox ALL the toxins out of your body, simple & best way, use pure/clean ZEOLITE powder, not drops, not "super this" or marketing tactic "that" Just clean pure powder..read up on it. arthritis is a symptom of inflammation, ALL symptoms are your body telling you something is out of whack, clean it up & feed it what it needs. OH & GET REAL VITAMIN D, 20 minutes of sunshine at least, every day, NO sunscreen toxins(sun screens cause cancers, including skin cancers & other inflammations, thats why we have epidemic levels of disease, humans have been in direct sun contact LONG hours every day, 7 days a week since our existence, we the species survived, sunscreens came out in 1960s now EVERYONE has skin cancer..do the math, 1+1 do not equal 2 when it comes to sunscreens "protecting" you, they block what your body needs "sunshine" while putting toxic cancer causing chemicals into your blood stream via the largest living organ you have, your skin..) dont shoot the messenger, just providing simplified help, I hope..

I 100% agree with you. I live in the sun all summer and have only used sun screen on my face out of vanities sake, trying to prevent wrinkles. I have only recently been wondering about all of the other products I have put on my skin as well. I have bought every body and hand cream at every gift shop. God only knows what I've done to myself. Along with the arthritis I developed urticaria (giant hives) so I watch what goes on my skin now. I have been using pure coconut oil only.

Also, we feed our animals at home and at zoos a nutritionally balanced food but not ourselves. It's funny because my dogs won't go near packaged gravy on leftovers, it's not real and their noses tell them! Especially say Kentucky Fried gravy. The dogs know! My sister is 70 now and turned her life around eating the way you said. She acts like a 40 year old sometime, lots of energy and mobility. She doesn't have arthritis but she had other minor issues and wanted a better quality of life. I guess I'll have to start listening to her.

I have searched for years, probably like everyone else trying to find the answers. I am now following Jason Hommel Who wrote a book about the copper cure. It's amazing go find his videos and websites. He reads most of his book on YouTube. You will be fascinated. I just started the copper and zinc iodine and selenium protocol. Couple other things like whole vitamin c, boron.. I am totally down with this program and I have seen all of them and tried many of them or other protocols for years wasting tons of money and visits to naturopathic doctors and I will not even go to one anymore. I have to do the research myself. It took me a long time to find this so I know everyone is looking for an answer and I would recommend this for everyone. Top 10 to 20 cures for all disease. You will love this good luck and God bless

Have you actually been diagnosed with arthritis? If so, what type of arthritis did your rheumatologist diagnose? What are your exact symptoms?

@Art,

My first diagnosis was in Dec. of psoriatic arthritis but I didn't listen to her (rheumatologist) because she saw me for 20 minutes and without ANY BLOODWORK OR XRAYS decided I had psoriatic arthritis. I have no skin issues. She prescribed methotrexate, which I refused. If she seemed to do a comprehensive workup I may have been convinced but how do you diagnose someone with a 20 minute visit and no bloodwork?!! I switched primary care Dr and ended up seeing the nurse practitioner because the new Dr was out! I then got some bloodwork and X-rays. The nurse practitioner said it seems like RA. She said I need to see a rheumatologist, my first visit with the new rheumatologist is tomorrow.

My exact symptoms are inflammation in some of my joints, red, swollen and stiff. It started in one finger about a year ago, now it's several fingers on both hands, 1 wrist, 1 elbow and the balls of both feet. I'm worried where it will go next. There is no history of this in my family and I have always been healthy.

Another commentor mentioned the root cause. Of course I would like to know myself but you need to be a scientist to figure that out and good luck to anyone trying to get a doctor to help you figure it out. I have researched for months but some of the studies are in the form of a lingo that I cannot understand, it's all scientific.

As far as a wheat or grain free diet I didn't think that was my issue because I have no stomach problems whatsoever. I assumed that was for people with celiac disease or something. I don't eat much as it is and cutting out all grain might be hard.

I may get a comprehensive blood work done by an independent lab because regular doctors won't order them, the insurance won't pay. Dr Jockers offers it for $350.

If I eat wheat my joints hurt. The wheat does not affect my stomach. I keep thinking surely it is in my head, but I have been off it for years and every time I have some in any form, I wake up with pain the next day.

Just to say, just because it doesn't cause stomach pain doesn't mean it isn't causing inflammation for you.

Hi, Renee, you could try going to your local health department for an "executive blood panel" bc it most likely uses the same lab your doctor uses AND the cost is negligible. My health dept charges $35 for executive panel and another $10 for HbA1c...and I get my results by mail in usually 2 days.

As far as inflammation goes I have neuropathy (very painful at times) and am a new type 2 diabetic who has had to make some drastic choices and changes to 1)control blood sugar and 2) decrease pain...through much research I have discovered MOST of the things I habitually ate was causing inflammation which is the root cause of my neuropathy and exacerbated my T2...nothing white passes my lips (except cauliflower), no bread (wheat is a nasty partner of pain), no starches, and above all no sugar...all of which cause inflammation. It's taken a full year of determination and dedication to ME to quell the pain and diminish inflammation. It's been worth every whine I've whined about ice cream, candy, french fries, mashed potatoes, pizza, rice dishes, soda and most everything else tasty to be able to sleep with only occasional pain, itching, tingling, stabbing in my feet and hands...I use monk fruit to sweeten tea, and riced cauliflower instead of rice/potatoes, chaffles as a replacement for bread, sorghum flower to make gravy (now and then)...all of that information is available via internet...worth the research, the effort and the great results: lower blood sugar, diminished inflammation and (woo hoo) weight loss...a commitment to your good health and doing whatever it takes to achieve feeling better...sometimes it's HARD and you're definitely worth it..I had to change my mind set from: But I want what I want! To...it's just junk my body doesn't need...I didn't intend to lecture, only to encourage you...if anyone is offended or annoyed I sincerely ask to be forgiven...the answers are available and I wish you all the determination to find the ones that help you the most...

I appreciate your candor. It's exactly what I need, an honest reality check. I have a friend who had gastric bypass because she was so overweight and she lives on a gluten free diet. Almost everything she eats tastes like cardboard to me. I have another friend who has celiac disease and she is gluten free too. Every restaurant we go to has options for her!

I have to find alternatives that I can live with. I'm such a picky eater to begin with. I used to eat devil dogs and ring dings when I was a young adult but I hardly eat sweets now, they make my stomach sick, I think my body is telling me something.

One of my favorite meals was always pasta and homemade sauce (or gravy if you're Italian) but I haven't eaten it in over a year because I read the tomatoes were nightshades and bad for inflammation. I had switched to rice over potatoes but now I hear different things. I haven't eaten bread in awhile but have had pizza. It's so hard when you are feeding a family too. They don't want to eat what you're eating so you have to make different meals. I will figure this out though. My life depends on it.

Renee,

One, You're ONLY trying to treat your SYMPTOMS when you're using ACV, Borax, DMSO, vitamins, Ivermectin, a dewormer kit, and or a rheumatologist

Two, I would concentrate on your root cause.

Three, what has worked for me is the NO GRAINS diet.

Four, it would come back to me in a heart beat, if I did not avoid every food that contained grains.

Five, speaking from my own experience and that of many allergists, the usual culprit is the food that you love the most, the food that you cannot live without.

Six, the most common offenders are wheat, and dairy foods.

Seven, once you have figured out what your offending food is, then you need to completely avoid that food.

Eight, even if you do completely avoid that food, the change in your diet is not going to work overnight... you have to have a lot of FAITH... for me it took 3 weeks before the inflammation disappeared... because it disappeared only very slowly and gradually.

Nine, patience is a virtue here.

I hope this will help you!

Hi! I agree with everything that you said but not sure why is that the person needs to avoid the food that the person loves? What is the rationale behind it? Thank you

Cravings are usually at the root of allergies, Worms, body problems and ill health.

Cutting out food craving types of foods to see a good outcome takes anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks and up to 3 months.

You would need to allow time to detox, and in the initial stages, your health concern can climax.

I hope this helps to clarify for you.

Good luck.

Olga,

Q: Why is that the person needs to avoid the food that the person loves? And what is the rationale behind it?

A: This opinion is based on my own experience and that of many allergists. This is a counter-intuitive opinion that appears to be irrational, too, because we expect the body to be smarter than this.

Once your rheumatologists makes a determination of your condition, come back and let us know.

I have severe psoriatic arthritis and borax has kept it in remission for well over a decade now, but I have seen it work for other forms of arthritis too, of which there are many.

So the rheumatologist says rheumatoid arthritis. It's kind of a devastating thing to hear but I have been preparing myself. My body has been telling me something so I have to believe it. He prescribed HQ. Has anyone taken it? Does it work? What about side effects?

I will continue with Borax but I am afraid to let the arthritis deteriorate my body further. Inflammation can do a number on your whole body, I need to get it under control. How long before the Borax will take away this awful inflammation?

I can't bend my arm and my fingers are so swollen I can barely hold the cup with the borax in it to my lips, I need 2 hands. My feet have been feeling better the past 2 days since using the borax and my elbow did loosen a little, it's not as bent as it was a few days ago.

I understand we are all different but I was wondering what is the average time and results I should expect.

UPDATE: Full disclosure regarding Borax. I was initially afraid to take 1/8th so was just using a pinch (which in itself seemed to help) I only did the pinch for 4 days but after reading some potential side effects I got nervous and started taking boron pills 2x 3mg for a few days. That's when my arthritis or whatever it is I have went berserk. This morning I said to myself "what is worse, not being able to walk or experience some potential side effects?" I went back to the Borax. I measured 1/8th this time and I am only 2/3rds thru with it and my feet no longer hurt! My hands are loosening up ever so slightly but I will take any improvement at this point. I will keep updating here. Thank you everyone for listening to my rant. I pray that this is not some coincidence and that the Borax is really working because nothing else has. I used DMSO straight up on my joints with no relief at all. No burning or rash either, so I guess that's good, I must have tough skin. I'm still afraid to try the DMSO internally so I'll give the Borax a chance. I'm going to see the rheumatologist tomorrow and I'm still debating on how much to tell him about what I have been doing.

Hi Renee,

Sorry you're having such a tough time. It sounds to me like your liver is on overload. One thing I would suggest is discontinuing coffee. Another is to start consuming celery juice.

The other thing is to check out Medical Medium books (often free at your library). I have healed (and am healing) so many issues with this the past 5 years. His book, Liver Rescue, would be a good place to start, or his first book, Medical Medium, the revised edition. The how to on Celery juice is in that.

Renee,

The fact that you appear to be responding to borax relatively quickly and positively is great. It can take time for borax to reach maximum benefit can take as long as 3 to 4 months according to the founder of the treatment, Dr. Rex Newnham, but he also saw cases where people responded within the first week, but he said in more severe cases it can take 3 to 4 months to reach maximum benefit.

In my case I saw some benefit within two weeks, but the level of benefit increased from that point until I was symptom and pain free. My case was severe and the pain was 24/7 and worsening quickly. In just one day, I was no longer able to go for my two mile walk. I could not lay flat on my back or the pain would increase rapidly and wake me up every 15 minutes or so. I tossed and turned every night trying to find a comfortable position. Almost all major joints hurt. My range of motion was greatly decreased. Generally speaking, most movements generated varying degrees of pain and life was miserable.

That was about 14 to 15 years ago. Today all of that pain is gone and has been gone for a very long time.

Art,

Is it OK to say I love you? lol You have made my day. I was so depressed since leaving the doctor's office and all I did was read arthritis help on this website for the rest of the day and into the night, just trying to find hope.

Many of the remedies people mentioned scared me more than the borax, they are protocols that require you to buy everything under the sun and eat practically nothing except vitamins and herbs all day. I am not prepared to lock myself up away from the world preparing green juice and taking herbs that might cause nausea or dizziness. I'm not looking for an easy fix but at the same time I can't devote my whole day to preparing things that may not work or will cause other issues. I have responsibilities.

I appreciate others' remedies and I'm glad they work for them but there are too many different ones, it's too confusing. Also, there are conflicting things that cause me to pause. You have to be really careful with certain herbs.

If I become really bad off and bedridden I may have no choice but to try one of those remedies but for now I'm going to take it one step at a time.

I am so sorry to hear you were in so much pain. I am so happy for you that you are now pain free!

I hope to put a halt to mine progressing further. I noticed the first signs about 2 years ago in 1 finger and here I am now with most of my fingers, 1 wrist, 1 elbow and both feet. I had a hard time when it hit my feet, I can't imagine when it hits people's knees. I don't know how people deal with it. Being off my feet for 2 days really depressed me, I'm a fidgety person who likes to keep moving.

I want to thank you for your timely responses and faith and hope you provide me with. I had no idea the borax could take some time to work, I really do feel it helped me right away, I have no other explanation. It's good to know I need to keep up with it. Can you explain why we need to take 2 days off?

Also, is there anything else you take or do? Such as turmeric, green tea or something basic? One specific thing you avoid? Thanks again.

Renee,

As you say, your arthritis has been coming on for 2 years and it may take time to reverse the process. In two weeks time, you should be clearer on whether the borax is working for you or not. If you haven't already, you should read up on borax and arthritis as popularized by Dr. Rex Newnham.

He figured out the the incidence of arthritis goes up or down based on the soil content of boron. In areas of the world with low boron, arthritis cases increase and in areas of the world with high boron soil content, arthritis cases are significantly lower.

You asked about the reason for taking 2 days off from borax. This was introduced by Ted of Earth Clinic when he was still here. He actually said 4 days on borax, followed by 3 days off. I can only speculate on the reason for this because Ted is no longer here to answer that question.

I believe that Ted chose the doses of 1/8th teaspoon for women and 1/4th teaspoon for men, which is very significantly higher than what Dr. Rex Newnham used in his patients, because Ted wanted to use the highest and safest dose to get the fastest response to borax. I think this is because if people use borax for a week or two and don't see any benefit, they might just assume it doesn't work for them and stop taking it, when in fact it might work for them if they just stuck it out a bit longer. I believe that the 3 days off from borax that Ted used was to allow these higher doses of borax from building up in the system. Borax moves through the system quickly and three days off is enough time for the body to dump any excess borax. As I said, only speculation on my part though. I shoot for Friday, Saturday and Sunday off from borax.

Good luck and keep us updated on your progress!

I am 72. personally, I put turmeric and fennel powder on all my food. You can buy them by the pound online or over at Sprouts. Cayenne pepper flakes on all food flaxseed whole flaxseed on all food approximately a tablespoon of each. More Sunshine, more fresh air, deep breathing. Probably the most important of all that I do is the Epsom salt hot baths.

I put a cup of Epsom salts, 1/2 to 1 cup of baking soda, and a half cup a borax. 25 oz of water in the morning I put lugol's iodine a drop or two in the water 25 oz of water before bed approximately a cup of water every hour during the day.

I like to look up the doctor John Christopher Legacy newsletters from when he was alive type into the search engine and put your ailment beside it in the search engine and it will come up with the whatever you're looking for you have to look through. There's also a site where you can just look at his newsletters you can also purchase them and download them gives you all the herbs for whatever you want to address.

Yes. Sure sounds like gout to me. There's a product called uro-solvine that works against gout. You also have to balance your diet- less strong proteins, that's red meat and beans. More veg. If you soak your feet in urine- your own, your partner's, horse- and get relief, it's gout. Uric acid crystals in the tissues.

Anytime you start natural alternatives your body will go through a detox period. You feel worse before you feel better. You might be trying too much too soon and not giving what you take a chance. Maybe more research on your part to target your issues and what you need. Natural medicine actually heals whereas chemical meds just mask symptoms. Natural takes time.

I'm an herbalist and I treat arthritis successfully. Look for Devil's Claw tincture. HerbPharm has it. Look for Pycnogenol or it's cheaper relative Pine Bark Extract from NOW Foods. Both have been tested and shown to really help with arthritis and inflammation. Devils Claw has been used for hundreds of years in Africa. It is very popular in Europe. Collagen supplements really help as well. I've had good luck with Further Foods Collagen Peptides.

Lees meat milk eggs and cheese and more vegetables and fruits. Limit white sugar and junk food. Make grains whole grains if possible. This will greatly increase antioxidants and fiber in your diet which will reduce inflammation.

If you have a Chinese Pharmacy find some "Hit" medicine. It goes on topically. Apply it where you have pain. Used for centuries in China for all kinds of musculoskeletal pain. It's phenomenal!

try this (at link) especially if your foot feels better with heat. Or look around their shop under the heading of "Hit Medicine".

Hi Renee,

That symptom in your feet may be caused by the ACV ....which is acidic by nature. You need to check the pH of your body .....research.

And the borax ......I take calcium, magnesium, AND BORON .....I use the Solgar product through Amazon. The combination is necessary to open the cell walls ......again do your due diligence and research.

Read the " Boron Conspiracy " .... about the Australian biologist and his research ....till Big pharma shut him down.

Jamie,

Does an acid imbalance cause inflammation? I thought about buying PH test strips. I think I was overdoing the ACV too. I tend to go overboard sometimes, I have to remind myself that 'less is more.' I have cut back now because I was getting teeth sensitivity. I add it to water now, half the amount I was using.

"a shot of ACV" - if you are doing what you say, and taking a shot of ACV, then you are harming yourself. Please stop it.

With the huge list of other things that you are doing in excess, it is a cornucopia of harm. Including and especially all forms of sugar, which includes fruit sugar. In essence, you are overburdening your liver, to say the least.

No one should be advising you to take ACV in undiluted, shot form. It must be highly diluted and limited to 2 tablespoons max per day. Those with arthritis are advised, also, to temper it with baking soda.

There are so many things wrong with this post. Please get therapy.

R E is said to be auto immune. If that is true you will have a hard time shifting it(if that is your problem) and gut health may be your main focus. You may consider faecal transplant. It has greatly helped with some other A I problems.

Re boron. Dr Richard Olree told us that if on waking in the morning, as you place your feet on the floor (or sometimes soon after in my instance) you get a quick jerk in your back (mine used to go out in winter and it was trip to the chiropractor) you have a fairly severe Boron problem. On hearing of the problem and having the jerk every day I tried one pinch of Boron and it was 3 days before the jerk returned. So I had another pinch and had the same result. Then I went to a pinch daily and have not looked back. Then a friend told me of calcium boro gluconate which I have been using since but now not every day and my back is fine after over 4 decades of problems. Almonds are also high boron....maybe 6 a day according to Olree.

The point is that the more bioavailable the mineral, the less you need and the fewer the associated problems. So I do my best to get my minerals in (naturally grown and as fresh as possible)food.

Alkalisation has not been discussed but as far as I remember arthritis indicates, and can stem from, an acidic bodily system. There is bicarb which is great if it does not have aluminium added to make it flow. Sea minerals may be better as if has heaps of Magnesium which has 1.8 times the alkalising value of calcium and all the other minerals that you need(short on calcium). It is a by product of sea salt production.

The best advice for basic general health issues I have heard is using all these 5 things.

1 Probiotics..the gut is where it all starts.

2 Minerals..nothing works without these.

3 Complete naturopathic B group vitamins.

4 Vitamin C for free radical scavenging and much more including building new connective tissue along with MSM.

5 Good omega oils.... coconut, fresh ground linseed, chia, ahiflower, krill, oily fish, cod liver oil.

I hope there is something in there that helps.

Yes, I believe all these things will help. I just started on probiotics and have been drinking green tea for antioxidants. Your protocol seems simplified to me, something I can follow. Thank you. I will have to take notes for all of the wonderful advise I am getting from all of you. Thank you so much.

I had a bunion that had arthritis in it and I used castor oil packs for the pain and inflammation. I also have arthritis in my feet so in the winter when my feet hurt I castor oil pack both of them at the same time. You tube will show you how to make a castor oil pack.

I use the following: a towel for each foot, two heating pads, one for each foot and cotton flannel or wool flannel cloths, one for each foot. Hexane free castor oil and wrap my feet for 20 minutes on the highest heat I can stand. Adjust heat accordingly if need be. I hope this works for you like it has for me.

So sorry for your pain. I take a full tsp. of turmeric,

2.5 TBS. of olive oil,

a tsp. of ginger and 2 cloves of garlic. I just mix all together and drink.

I drink glasses of green tea several times a day.

This seems to help my joint pain.

I tried ACV, didn't help.

Renee, so sorry about your pain and inflammation.I find Boswelia by NOW company is a miracle for me, regarding the inflammatory spike that happens with some irritation.

And also - ACV topically - such as diluted in a foot bath (any container that hold enough warm water to come up above your ankle bone is fine), dissolves congestion, and swelling. Good luck with your journey, feel good soon.

Very important - sugar and alcohol feed fungus, and fungus in our blood stream can make swelling of amazing size. Cakes, bread, pasta, all starches feed fungus. Check your diet to see if that works.

I have healed arthritis in my forefinger joint by SOAKING it in ACV, not drinking any of it. It took several weeks. Joint first got 2 mini-cube looking bits on it, those were calcium deposits coming out of the joint. I gently scraped over it with back of a fingernail - just to see what it was, after removing my finger from a 1/2 soaking it in 50:50 water and organic ACV. The gentle sweep over the joint resulted in opaque color to liquid on the joint. That is how I realized calcification was coming gradually out.

About 3 weeks later redness was gone, all swelling was gone as well, and the mini-cube bits were completely gone.

Since you mention your legs, I would check what toxins are nearby, including carpet cleaning soaps, and such, if you walk barefoot as I do.

Can explain the vinegar soak in detail for me please? Once a day? How long? 50/50 vinegar and water? What do you mean by using your fingernail? Thank you

I know how discouraging it can be to try everything and still not see results. But you must keep at it. Don't fall for medicine's typical solution of hiding the pain. In the long run, these solutions cause tissue and organ damage and make things worse.

Have you heard of hyaluronic acid? It is a water loving substance that is produced in the human body but drops significantly with age. It holds onto water like glue, and maintains collagen and elastin. Its loss means less synovial fluid and less water held by your tissues.

You can search for it on this site. I have been on it for a week, and they say it takes about 4 weeks before one notices results.
I will say that some of the other solutions you have mentioned, such as borax and DMSO, I have also taken and I believe that they may cause excess calcium buildup to be released into your tissues, and so may make things worse temporarily as these crystals can be encountered by nerves and cause pain. (It's hard to be on a therapy that makes you more painful! ) I am hoping that the HA (high molecular weight suggested from vegetable sources) will help.

Also, stay away from gluten like the plague. And sugar (which starchy carbs are! ) is pro inflammatory. So all the wonderful yummy stuff should be eliminated.
Are you getting enough bone broth? If not, add to your diet, even daily. You can find quality products on line, as you want to avoid soups from the major food producers. They're toxic.

You're not alone. Some of us have such toxic build up in our bodies, including heavy metals, iron and calcium, that it takes a long time to clean out. So hang in there!

Calcium Bentonite Clay Tips & Testimonials from Perry A~

It's Perry A~ and I am back. Though we sold the Living Clay business in 2015, I have not retired from educating people to the plethora of uses of Calcium Bentonite Clay and answering their questions (512-773-0335 [email protected]) in an effort to understand this complicated natural substance. As I promised I will maintain the free clay information website www.BentoniteClayInfo.com. Since retiring from the webinars due to ongoing increasing expenses, I am picking up the slack by sending tips, articles, suggested protocols and new testimonials to share the magic of Bentonite Clay.
For a definitive guide to understanding and using clay I recommend my newest book Calcium Bentonite Clay Nature's pathway to Healing – Balance, Detox, Stimulate, Alkalize. You can order from www.TheClayBook.com or Amazon.

Today's Tips & Testimonials is about Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I have been suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis for almost 3 years now and few of my joints are in quite a bit of pain. I was told by one of my friends that Bentonite clay helps. I am on a diet where I take supplements like Calcium, magnesium, vitamin c, b, d etc. as recommended by a dietitian.
I currently have issues in the following joints because of my RA -
My both wrists hurt pretty bad and had swelling. The range of motion on right wrist is also limited. Suffering with wrist problems for almost 1.5 years
I have swelling and pain in my right knee and have the issue for more than a year. It's hard to walk long distances or stand on my feet for long
My neck had some knots I believe and it hurts to turn it sideways or even up and down
Had pain and swelling in my right elbow joint for 3 months
August 5th - Used the clay poultice on my knee, neck and wrist joints and slept with it the whole night. Did not see much difference.
August 6th - Started drinking 2 ounces in the morning and 2 ounces in the evening. Also applied poultice on my wrists, elbow and knee joint. Elbow started to feel better. Noticed some mild rash on my right wrist.
August 7th - Started drinking 4 ounces in the morning and 4 ounces in the evening. Also applied poultice on my wrists and knee. Noticed some mild rash on my right wrist but my elbow pain is quite negligible and also started feeling less pain in my wrist and knee. Went biking for 30 minutes.

August 8th - Started drinking 6 ounces in the morning and 6 ounces in the evening. Was able to move my neck quite freely. Pain went down like 50% in my neck. My wrist also is feeling little bit better. Swelling and pain in my elbow is almost gone.
Overall I am feeling good and am pretty happy with the results that I am seeing in just 4 days. I intend to continue using it at least for a month. Thank you so much for your guidance and bring awareness of the many benefits of Bentonite clay. – Prathimka D.

Hello Renee, sounds like you would benefit from getting acquainted with Mikhaila Peterson's blog (Jordan Peterson's daughter) at mikhailapeterson.com. She had severe rheumatoid arthritis along with multiple other inflammatory maladies as a child and reacted to everything she ate. It wasn't until as an adult that she eliminated everything from her diet except beef and salt, lost a ton of weight and regained her health. She now advocates The Lion Diet, lives in Tennessee and has her own podcast on Youtube, The Mikhaila Peterson Podcast.

I used food grade boron and organic sulfur together in a jar. Just took swigs. Amazon sells all that I mention. Turmeric and Boswellia together are very good antiinflammatories that cause no harm to your liver. There is a very good book called overcoming arthritis by Dr David Brown Stein MD. He explains root cause of arthritis and a few other diseases. Easy to understand and has case histories. Most Drs won't listen and push drugs. I work in medical and this Dr works a few miles from me. He has a natural holistic practice. Has written 16 books. I wish you well

I am on day 3 of 1/8th tsp of Borax and I feel great. I am not going to say Borax has fixed me until I have a few weeks to evaluate it. From what I hear it usually takes longer to see results.

Along with the Borax today I purchased capsaicin gel after reading a study about it. I read a remedy here from a few years ago regarding a benefit of cayenne pepper. The science behind it made sense to me because I used to suffer from cluster headaches and cayenne pepper was only 1 of 2 things that worked on those type of headaches, the other was high dose caffein.

In the same study that included cayenne pepper for arthritis they mentioned the hypothalamus involvement in RA patients, so I'm finding a connection to my past history with cluster headaches. Cluster headaches involve the hypothalamus too.

Anyway the reason for this post is to tell you that the capsaicin gel seemed to really take away my pain and I feel the inflammation as well. I can make a tighter fist! Weird how just being able to make a better fist is a big accomplishment these days. The theory behind the pepper is to shut up that Substance P messenger, whatever that means. I wish I could decipher some of these studies but I have to read between the lines.

I read all of the warnings about how bad it burns so I only applied it to one finger before trying anywhere else. It didn't burn me so I applied it to my feet and most of both hands. It could all be coincidence with the Borax and capsaicin gel but I will update in a few days or longer to see if it's really working. I also put Frank's hot sauce on my dinner to get some internally. I almost want to add DMSO on top of the gel but that might be a bit too much. I will leave well enough alone for now.

WARNING! UPDATE ON CAPSAICIN GEL. Don't get it wet! I happened to reapply it to my hands about an hour before showering and now my hands are on fire. Luckily it's the only place I reapplied. I happened to touch my lip in the shower and transferred it there as well. So I will still use it but make sure I'm not near water for a few hours after. I have no idea how to stop the burn. I'm going to try ice right now.

Renee, stop the ACV and don't go the carnivore route you know it's not good. Look at Medical Medium's protocol on the website, FB and instagram, podcasts. Lots of free information. The books tell you the real reason you're in pain and how to feel better. it's incredibly packed with information doctors haven't figured out yet. it takes time but it does work. I've been drinking the blueberry detox shakes for about 4 years now and the celery juice which is an herb! Lots of natural supplements. You will feel better! Be well, jayne

The root cause of most if not all diseases is parasites. Please do all research into the ivermectin. It will help if not cure u. U have to give it time, u didn't get RA overnight. And u need to know about the herxing. U will get sick, hands & feet will burn or itch. U will feel flu like symptoms. U will ache like never before. The herxing is different for everyone. Are u taking the pills or the horse paste? The pills, I've read don't work as well as the horse paste. The herxing time is different for everyone. The biggest mistake people make when taking the dewormer is stopping! Humans are mammals, we have worms. Just like horses & dogs we need to De-worm constantly. The herxing is the worst part but after you're through it u will feel wonderful. Hope u feel better soon.

I'm actually taking the liquid bovine ivermectin. I have been giving it to my dogs monthly for years to prevent heart worm. I was nervous at first but you will try anything when you are desperate. I didn't have any reaction that I'm aware of unless my flareup was caused by that. Dieoff? The problem is I don't know how often to use it because doctors won't tell you! I used it for about a week and took 3 weeks off and took another dose. I don't know if it did anything though. I'm also doing a dewormer kit, cloves, wormwood and black walnut. And I'm also drinking diatenatious earth each day too. I don't know how long or frequent to do any of it except the kit. Dr Lee Merritt suggests 2 other dewormers as well but I haven't gotten those yet because I'm doing so many other things right now. She says if you have pets, you have parasites. I don't know if they cause arthritis but who wants parasites, yikes!

Hi, I think maybe you are feeling worse because you are doing too many new things at one time. When you start to kill off pathogens they can cause a "healing crisis" or "herxing" which is waste or pathogens from the original pathogens. I would start with one thing at a time. I would be careful about the dosing as well. I know with Borax you make a solution then take only a spoonful of the solution a day. There are B pages on Borax with the exact recipe. I would say, stay with natural modalities because pharmaceuticals really have terrible "side effects". Ivermectin is awesome for killing parasites. Again, start low and slow!

Also, taking baths in epsom salts and borax might help you feel better. Drink plenty of good clean water (not Tap).

I highly recommend you get on a clean ketogenic diet, as this is very healing and anti-inflammatory. At least get ALL sugar and nearly all carbs out of your diet as well as nightshades and gluten. Keto got rid of all my fibromyalgia pain and every disease I had (gastroparesis, GERD, migraines, sleep apnea, etc)

Best wishes.

I have RA as well. I was diagnosed when I was 19 and I am now 47. About 5 years ago it got REALLY bad!! My husband had to help my put my clothes on. I could not hold a fork to eat. I had to sit on the couch all day and could only get up except to use the restroom and even that was hard to do as I could barely walk. I was miserable and in nonstop pain!!!!!!

I did not want to use the normal RA drugs that the doctors give. They are horrible for you!! I started trying everything natural thing I could find and I also altered my diet. Nothing I tried really gave me much relief. I then read about Borax and decided to give it a try. I had read that it would cause a healing crisis and boy did it ever!!!! I got even worse for about a week. My husband wanted me to stop but I told him I was going to push through. After the first two weeks of taking it I started to feel a bit better. Each week the pain was getting less and less. After about 2-3 months on it I was pain free and could function like a normal person again. After another couple months my joints started to go back down to normal size and I was able to wear my wedding ring again. I started to feel better than I had in years!! I am a stay at home mom and my kids are getting older and don't need me like they used to. I wanted to do something with my free time so I started an embroidery (machine) business. I now have an Etsy shop and work 5 days a week from home. That is something I would never have been able to do before Borax. Borax saved my life, literally!!

If it can help me I feel it can help anyone with RA. You just have to push through the healing crisis. It is rough, but worth it once you get through it. You also MUST take a good magnesium with the borax. The two go hand in hand. I use Jigsaw brand magnesium. It is more expensive but well worth it!! You then need to start slowly with the borax and work your way up. I now take 3 tsp of the diluted borax mixture once a day. I have been taking borax for about 5 years now. My husband and kids also take it, although a smaller dose than I do. Boran (what is in Borax) is something everyone needs. It isn't in our soil like it used to be.

There are some really good articles on Borax online. If you look up the "The Borax Conspiracy" you will find a great article on it. It is long but worth the read! I sure hope you are able to find relief soon!! I know your pain and it is rough!!

Peter

This is the advice I would have suggested to you. Your body needs enough magnesium otherwise it won't be able to "utilize" the borax you are taking efficient enough to improve your health.

Additionally, you MUST take topical magnesium. A spray or a gel, need to rub on either your arms or chest once a day, and on your legs also once a day. So twice a day, first on arms or chest, second on legs.

Also, I definitely recommend not taking Ivermectin or any other doctor prescribed medication. The problem with conventional medicine is it is built on the idea of kicking the can down the road. There is a massive misconception based on a faulty assumption that bacteria and virus are harmful or cause disease. This is completely false. Their medications are meant to get rid of the bacteria which are causing your symptoms, but are there to help fix the underlying problem.

If you continually have to go back to the doctor and back to the doctor and back to the doctor. It is because of the treatments they are prescribing you.

Stop going to doctors. The only types of doctors who are legitimate as far as I'm concerned are holistic doctors, or doctors who work under the perspective of terrain theory.

Hi Renee,

I am 60 years old, and your story sounds a lot like my own. I am not going to go into a lot of detail about my situation, I would rather like to keep my suggestion simple.

Avoid the following food triggers...

1. Any and all cheese, especially block cheeses. (That includes cheese on pizza in which block cheeses are used.)

2. Foods containing nitrates such as lunch meats, cold cuts, sausages, hotdogs nitrates which are also (found on pizza) in the form of pepperoni, ham, pork sausage etc.

3. Night shade vegetables, particularly tomatoes, which are also (found on pizza) in the form of tomato sauce.

All three of the trigger foods mentioned are found in one dish...Pizza.

Even eating pizza just once a week, at least for me is enough to literally cripple me to the point where I need a walker just to get to the bathroom.

Avoid pizza like the plague and the trigger ingredients that it is made of

1. Cheese

2. Nitrate meats

3. Tomato Sauce

Avoid these 3 triggers not just in pizza but avoid them in all foods.

I hope this helps!

Take care of yourself.

Could be plantar fasciitis. I had that and thought I had worked so much that my feet broke. I was able to treat it at home with magnesium foot soaks and magnesium oil and the proper foot exercises for fascia pain. I seriously thought bones were broken in my feet because they hurt so bad. I found videos by doctors on you tube and they show which simple stretches are best for plantar fasciitis. Hope you find something that helps. Good luck.
