How Does Desiccated Thyroxine Work?

Would anyone be able to explain dedicated thyroxine for me, please. I have Eutroxig for over 20years and if I could get off it I would be happy to say goodby to joint pain, tiredness and weight issues.

I know Eric Berg said on youtube that dessicated beef liver is used so your body attacks the supplement and not your liver.
