How Should I Treat Pink Raised Spots with Unknown Cause?

Posted by Bibibonita2 (Gainesville) on 07/07/2016

My dog has a weird collection of raised slightly pink spots of different sizes all over her underside. She is spayed, wearing a cone and her bed was a little messy (as I clean it every two weeks and she sheds a ton! ). Can anyone please help me by telling me what it may be and what can alleviate/cure it? Coconut oil? Apple Cider Vinegar? Help? Please?? :)

  • -Could it be fleas? ticks? bed bugs???
  • - maybe by her having a cone, she can't clean herself that well and this is caused by her not cleaning herself?
  • - not on any medication(s)
  • - we frequent trails

Because apple cider vinegar works for a variety of skin issues, it would be a good thing to try first.

Mix 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the spots several times a day, being careful not to get this in her eyes. If it seems to bother her, dilute it more.

It does sound like some sort of insect bite.
