I Think I Have Hallux Rigidus In My Big Toe

Posted by Chocolit21 (Memphis, Tn) on 12/21/2009

Arthritis...I think i have Hallux Rigidus in my BIG TOE. I have been suffering with joint pains that migrate through my body for the last 5 years. None of the traditional medicine works. I do not have Rheumatoid or Lupus or anything like that. At first my joint was accompanied with HIVES. The HIVES have subsided but my hands and my BIG TOE on the right foot still swell a lot. I can hardly wear any shoes and the pain in my BIG Toe is the worst to deal with. Any suggestions?

Hello Choc0lit from Memphis, Tn.

I have 3 suggestions and probably no harm from using all 3 at the same time.

Pokeweed berries which you probably already know can be harvested from the poke sallet plants in the fall. You can start taking them as soon as they ripen, dehydrate the rest and continue taking them 15 - 25 berries 3 to 4 times per day until gone. If you want to get more sophisticated and make you a tincture or extract that lasts for years versus months in the dehydrated form, you can find instructions on how to do your own herbals on line.

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) which you will probably find cheaper at your local farmer's co-op than at the pharmacy. I lucked up and bought a 6 lb container of the crystals for less than $30.00 at one of them. I have had no problem with taking a dose closer to the one for a horse than for a human over the years that I have been taking it.

Good old codliver oil @ dosage recommended on the bottle.
