Seeking Help for Years of Itchy Bumps on Feet

Posted by Marilyn (Nashville) on 08/14/2017

I have an issue on my foot and was wondering if someone can offer suggestions. I have an itchy area that has appeared on the top and side one foot when the weather is hot and humid for at least 3 years now. I used to treated it each time it appeared with an anti fungal or athletes foot medication from the drugstore and it seemed to help.

This summer was different. My feet got hot from wearing sneakers one day and when I took off my shoes, I had a pimple in the middle of each toe! So weird. The anti fungal cream did not work to cure it. I tried apple cider vinegar, colloidal silver and tea tree oil at different points, but nothing cured it. Eventually after a few weeks the pimples went away but I still have itchy rashes on the sides of my feet and on the bottom of my foot in one area.

What makes it temporarily better is pure peppermint oil, which dries it up and eliminates the itch. But if I stop applying it, in one day the rash comes back. Can someone please suggest a remedy that might cure this issue permanently?

I can't figure out if this is athletes foot, a fungal infection, acne on the foot, eczema or psoriasis since none of the remedies for each of these conditions works.

Thanking you much in advance for any advice.

Dear Marilyn,

I have a few thoughts of things you could try.

Could your footwear be affecting this? I have heard of people developing rashes from synthetics or chemicals in footwear.

I wonder if borax foot soaks would help? 1-2 T. borax in a warm foot bath for 15 minutes a few nights a week.

When I have have rashes that would not stay healed, adding 1300mg borage oil supplement a couple of times a day seems to help my skin to heal.

And when in doubt, turmeric is always a good thing to try. I have found it to heal all sorts of skin issues, used internally. It is a pretty amazing anti-inflammatory.

Keep us posted!

Hi Marilyn....about the foot infection...likely fungal. I've used clay successfully before on similar situations.

Get bentonite clay...using water (or colloidal silver) into a plaster and apply to affected areas. Let dry; this will take two hours. Leave like that as long as you can before washing off.

Charcoal might also work. Drinking a teaspoon of the clay dissolved, of course, a few times a week for a month might also get rid of any of the infection floating inside you.

Thank you to all for your comments. I will try them one by one.

Charity, today I looked for calamus oil at the health food store but it looks like I need to order it online. Sounds interesting!

Before I saw these replies to my post, in the past week I have been using peppermint oil mixed with tea tree oil and pine oil. It calms it down but does not get rid of it. Stubborn bugger. I have also tried spraying colloidal silver on it. Doesn't do anything.

Mama, I take turmeric and borage oil almost every day for months now and it doesn't work, unfortunately. I will try the borax foot soak and let you know.

Thank you Dave for suggesting bentonite clay. I will try that too but need to order it.

Raw honey sounds great too. I will try all of these remedies and give feedback!

Sorry it took me a while to check back.

Many thanks again.

Hi Charity, can you tell me where you bought your calamus oil from? It is not widely sold on Amazon and the reviews on the few offered are a little "iffy".

What else do you use it for? Looks very interesting. Thank you!

I am trying some 20 mule team borax in a foot soak today . I walked my lot and a sticker got in my sandal and poked my foot and a huge crack formed on my heel. I take the supplement boron but now I enter the mad scientist mode. God has a weird of humor.

I have to add to my post an update on that foot soak . Yes God has a weird sense of humor. So not knowing much about borax(20 mule team company), I put a very small pinch into a two gallon tub and soaked an hour .While soaking my feet, veins that were large shrunk (not sure if it's temporary) my skin all over my body started to turn back the clock 5+ years. I went and looked in the mirror and the aging on my chin by my mouth was youthful(1/3 of the aging was GONE), my fellow church friends thought the glory of God was on my face. They said I lost ten years. Then I knew it wasn't my eyesight going bad on me .The first day my left kidney was hurting a lot and the second day my lower abdomen, today it is cramping a lot, maybe it's putting my bladder back up into place. Well, thank God for stickers in my foot. He does work all things together for my good. Hope you find all your experiments on yourself go well for you ...Love, Charity

Hi Charity,

Thank you for the updates on your borax soaks. Yes!!! They seem to be the most effective remedy so far healing up the itchy postures on my foot. I am sitting here typing this while soaking my feet in hot water with MUCH MORE BORAX than you! I am soaking both feet in 1/2 cup of borax in a bucket. The water level is about 5 inches high with both feet in it!

I tried a couple of teaspoons of borax in a bucket filled 1/8th with hot water last week and that didn't do much. The raw honey made the rash itch so much worse too.

So yesterday I tried 1/2 cup of borax in hot hot water - soaked for about an hour and the after-results were fantastic. No itching all day and most of the itchy areas are receding!! I had no side effects!!! If people can soak in 2 cups of epsom salts I figured I can soak my feet in a lot of borax. Seems to be true.

Congratulations on discovering your fountain of youth cure. That's amazing!! Looking forward to hearing more.

I suspect my "one soak" with borax dislodged a kidney stone into my left kidney..(not pretty) taking some chanca piedra for that . I only did the one soak, 9-2-17. I take a boatload of supplements and hormones that may have latched onto that borax and ran wild in my body. It was minutes into my footsoak and my whole body was changing like wildfire. I thought I was imagining things.

Here's one of my links from borax reading this week~hoping I did not poison myself since my skin has not changed back( still less wrinkles and firmed up ) and still having intestinal issues that are lessening. I had lower gut pain monday~ every bump I hit while riding my bike. Ouch.

hope your feet are healthy and stay healed of itchy bumps, my cut is healing up on my heel.
