Natural Remedies Needed for Deep Vein Thrombosis in Left Leg
Help with deep vein thrombosis
So a couple of days ago I had a sudden swelling in my left leg from my groin all the way down to my ankles.
I went to the doctor's office and they immediately sent me to the hospital turns out I have deep vein thrombosis I have many clots in my left leg and my leg is huge!!!
I've read some of these posts and a lot of people recommend black strap molasses, lemon and baking soda, and enzymes.
I am currently on blood thinners and I wanted to know if I can do any or all of these natural solutions while on blood thinners?
All the doctors say that it will take up to 2 to 3 months for the swelling to go down and it may not even go down all the way because I have other underlying problems namely uterine fibroids.
Please help thank you

Hi DVT,
The problem with the better supplements for DVT is that almost all of them also thin the blood with one possible exception for CoQ10, but CoQ10 can react negatively with blood thinners. Since this is the case your doctor or cardiologist not going to allow you to use them.
One possible exception that your doctor or cardiologist might consider is red light therapy which is also called photobiomodulation which can help prevent more clots from forming in the first place as discussed here :
Here is a relevant quote from the literature :
' Humans and mice exposed to long-wavelength red light had lower rates of blood clots that can cause heart attacks, lung damage and strokes, according to research led by University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC surgeon-scientists and published Jan. 10, 2025, in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. '
Given the severity of your condition, this would of course require your doctor's approval and supervision in order to be safe.
One other consideration that would also require your doctor's approval and supervision is Melatonin Lotion (ML), because it has anti inflammatory effects, antioxidative stress effects and has shown the ability to reduce inflammation of the endothelium. Inflammation of the endothelium can cause blood clots. It may also reduce swelling in some situations.
I explain how to make melatonin lotion here :
https://www.earthclinic.com/supplements/melatonin-lotion.html
Since melatonin also has a potential antithrombotic effects that may be synergistic with the blood thinner medication(s), it definitely needs your doctor's approval and supervision and is worth discussing with your doctor.

GINGER ROOT.
Ginger Root is more effective than aspirin at preventing blood clotting, with none of the risk of internal bleeding associated with aspirin, making it a powerful aid against Heart disease and Deep vein thrombosis, according to many recent laboratory studies. Ginger root dissolves bot clots on contact!
Ginger root has been shown to be highly effective in preventing, and curing, blood clots, heart disease, cancer, arthritis, and a variety of other illnesses. For example, the blood clots that trigger heart attack dissolve when exposed to ginger. Ginger interferes with the long sequence of events necessary for blood clots to form. This helps to prevent clots that can lodge in narrowed coronary arteries and set off a heart attack. Something called thromboxane synthesis initiates clot formation. Ginger is a potent inhibitor of this process. Ginger also inhibits The clumping together of platelets in the blood. So ginger inhibits blood clots in at least two ways. In a study in Prostaglandins Medicine, ginger inhibited blood clots more effectively than onion or garlic. Ginger also increases the strength of the heart. Scientists call ginger a cardiotonic agent because of its ability to increase energy production in the heart and to enhance calcium pumping within heart cells that is required for optimal cardiac output.
How to use: Some people prefer fesh ginger root. You can grate 1 inch piece of the root into a cup, add water and let steep overnite. Drink the next morning.
Or
Take capsules. 4 grams is the recommend maximum daily. So that translates to taking 2 – 500mg capsules = 1gram. 3X/daily = 3grams per day.
VITAMIN C.
In a exciting paper by G.C. Willis appeared in 1957 entitled "the Reversibility of Atherosclerosis." In this study atherosclerosis was induced in guinea pigs by depriving them of ascorbic acid. Some guinea pigs were then given large doses of ascorbic acid and it was found that in these animals the beginning atherosclerotic lesions were rapidly resorbed while the more advanced atherosclerotic plaques on the artery walls took longer. There was a steady decline in the incidence of the lesions in direct proportion to the duration of ascorbic acid therapy. The significance of these observations for man is tremendous -- they open the way to the megascorbic prophylaxis of atherosclerosis -- but they never were tested further.
VITAMIN E OIL.
Vitamin E Oil - Blood clots: A 2014 research study has shown that vitamin E helps prevent or delay the onset of heart diseases. One of the major reasons for heart attacks is blood clots. Research shows that tocopherol helps in the elimination of blood clots, which in turn helps to avoid heart attacks. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3997530/
Vitamin E oil contains antioxidants that improve the circulation of blood to all parts of the body. Improves the health of our veins and poor circulation. Vitamin E helps keep platelets from sticking together and adhering to the side of blood vessel walls. If you suffer from painful cramps in the calf of your leg due to narrowed or hardened arteries and veins this may be relieved by the addition of vitamin E to the diet. Broccoli, spinach and kiwis contain a significant amount of the vitamin. You also can get vitamin E from eating fortified cereals
Vitamin E is also important for varicose veins because it helps to improve overall circulation and promotes healthy blood flow. According to the Mother Nature website, vitamin E is needed to keep platelets from sticking together and adhering to the side of blood vessel walls. Vitamin E helps to reduce the stickiness of blood platelets, which is also essential for helping individuals who are in the high risk category from suffering conditions such as blood clots and type 1 diabetes.
Vitamin E- 200-600 IU, helps prevent platelets from sticking to each other and artery walls and protects against cardiovascular disease.
Vitamin E for Phlebitis Victim Back on Her Feet Again.
Ms. H.N. reports: "Up until recently I had so much pain with phlebitis that I was in bed for three months. Then a friend told me about vitamin E and I have been taking 400mg. daily and now I walk for an hour or- more every morning. Then I help at Senior Citizens for four hours, five days a week besides all the other things I do and my legs do not bother me now. I will be 70 years old soon and have more energy than my daughter who is 32. I am so grateful for vitamin E. It has been my life saver!"
Vitamin E for Phlebitis Ulcer Heals like Magic.
Ms. V.B. reports: "For many years I had suffered phlebitis which eventually broke down and formed an ulcer, which would heal for a while then break open again and again. After one severe case of infection, I had to have surgery, which helped, but only temporarily. By this time I had a great area of scar tissue which would crack, with the result, further ulceration occurred. My doctor wanted further surgery and skin graft, which I refused. "I engaged a new doctor; he agreed with me a trial with vitamin E might be of some merit. He put me on 1600 units a day, plus application externally to the affected area. It was like magic. The ulcers healed, the scar tissue became pliable, no further breakage. The bulgy veins flattened down to normal.
"I stayed on vitamin E for six weeks under doctor's supervision/Then decreased to 800 per day for three months. I now continue to take 400 units each day. Never felt better in my life. Considering I'm in my sixties and worked standing on my feet eight hours a day, this was a severe test for any medication.
Vitamin E for Phlebitis Relieved, Clot Disappears, Paralysis Avoided.
Mr. D.S. relates how his neighbor developed a clot in his right thigh, which was removed surgically. The operation was a great success, he says. Unfortunately, the man's leg was permanently paralyzed. Then he says: "Last May I served on the election board ... and was on my feet practically all (day). By the next morning an alarming blood clot had formed in the femoral vein in my left thigh. The flesh around the vein was red and inflamed. The vein stood out under the skin like a rope on the inside portion of my thigh and was very sore to the touch ... I feared that surgery ... I had been taking about 1200 I.U. of vitamin E daily, so I decided ... to double the dose ... and within 24 hours the clot began to disappear. The hard rope-like vein in my thigh had softened. I continued taking 2400 I.U. of vitamin E for several days. After five or six days the clot and inflammation had completely gone. Soon thereafter I had recovered completely."

hello,
I cleared my right leg DVT by doing the following. I might also note I had PE symptoms. All symptoms cleared within 3-4 weeks and a follow-up ultrasound showed the veins in my right leg were clear. I continue on maintenance doses of Boluke.
1. Boluke (lumbrokinase) 6 capsules, 2-3x/day, empty stomach. This is what cleared it quickly. Lots of research on this enzyme. It is about 30X more potent than the next most potent enzyme which is Nattokinase which is also used to clear blood clots.
Please check with your doctor if you are going to use this.
2. Licorice root tincture & extract - 1/2 tsp, 2x/day. See Dr Ardis information about this herb used for clearing clots.
3. Melatonin - 100 mg, 3x/day. Took this for other reasons however, it has some effect on clots.
4. Supplements required/helpful for de-clotting: Selenium, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3/A/D/K
5. Binding/clearing Spike Protein
6. Propping my legs up above my heart
7. Cinnamon - I was already taking this for other reasons - studies show great for clearing bot clots along with licorice.

Hi! I had a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) bloodclot 10 years ago. I realized I carried the blood clotting gene Factor V Lein. Doctor's wanted me to stay on a blood thinner for life( Warfarin, Xarelto or Eliquis) I discovered there are natural blood thinner enzymes that work wonderally and in a healthier way than pharmeceuticals. I take the DR. knows best brand of SERRAPEPTASE (100,000) and NATTOKINASE (2000) once or twice a day(usually once). You must take it on an empty stomach: 1 hour before eating protein including milk in coffee, or 2hrs after eating. The two work in tandem naturally thinning the blood and bringing down inflamation.
