Looking For Ways To Treat Lichen Planus

Posted by Ronny (Atlanta Ga) on 01/23/2015

I was recently diagnosed with lichen planus; it started on my feet and wrist and now speading. The dr gave me a cream but nothing has helped to this date, I just got emuaid and we will see. I have read a lot of posts here and want to try something to helpi. Any recipes would be nice. I saw the borax but not sure where to get or what it is. This is very unsightly, thank god I have a understanding gf. I'm 50 yo and had hep c tests which were negative, so any advise would be great. I am a auto mechanic so I do wash my hands a lot and also use latex gloves.

Dear Ronny,

You should be able to get borax at a Wal Mart or larger grocery store in the laundry section.

Turmeric is great for inflammatory skin conditions. You can try 4 capsules three times a day with a 12 ounces of water each time.

Some have found Comfrey Root Ointment to be helpful. You can get dried comfrey root from Mountain Rose herbs and make your own ointment if you want to. If you want to do this I will explain how.

I would also consider Castor Oil and/or extra virgin coconut oil on the areas overnight.

Let us know how it goes for you!
