Magnesium Oil Stung Vein On My Leg, Any Idea Why?

Had a strange thing happen this morning. After my shower, I went to put on my magnesium oil as usual. For some reason, one spot stung like crazy. I looked and saw a purple vein, larger than spider but smaller than varicose. Wow, it stung for 10 minutes! Anyone had this happen? Any ideas on why just this spot? No cuts, just that vein.

Some areas of the body will be much more sensitive to mag oil. I find if I get some on my neck or face it stings.
