Incredibly Painful MRSA Wound For 13 Months - At Wit's End!

Posted by Sita (Texas) on 10/02/2021 1 posts

Hello, I'm just going to get right to the point...I have had a wound above my left ankle for almost 13 months it started as a tiny cut from shaving but got infected with MRSA so now it's 3" long and 3" wide and the pain is there are no words to describe how bad this hurts! I've been to 3 hospitals and they haven't done anything to help me treat this wound. They told me it was a "Diabetic ulcer" but I'M NOT DIABETIC! Finally, I went to this little Healthcare clinic and the doctor swabbed the wound and a few days later she called to tell me that it's staph and that she sent my rx for antibiotics to the pharmacy and at first it helped, it actually shrunk down to about the size of a quarter but then it came right back and even bigger!!

I'm at my wit's end about what I should do to finally get rid of it. It's causing problems in my marriage and Financials. I found this website and read about the turmeric tonic with black pepper and coconut oil but I need to know the measurements of each ingredient, please!!

Or any other things I can do to get rid of this wound. Thank you.

These are just my personal experiences, and anecdotal knowledge. It won't hurt my feelings if you double check everything I'm writing.

I've had good results with silver solutions too. To my knowledge, there are two kinds: Colloidal and ionic. I've read that many commercially available silver solutions are ionic, (even though they might not say so). Colloidal has a yellow color to it. Ionic is clear. Much has been made of the healing properties of colloidal solutions, and I have no reason to doubt it. I however have only used an ionic solution. I've used it with great success to promote healing of minor cuts, to prevent or stop minor infections, and on surgical incisions to reduce scarring. I try to leave the bandage open to some ventilation. I apply repeatedly from a spray bottle in order to keep the area moist and change the bandage as often as needed. Where the area was inflamed or infected there was often a noticeable reduction in pain.

Hope this helps

Ron

For Manuka Honey, don't buy any that is from Canada as it is heat treated and so destroys the good stuff. It has to be direct from New Zealand without going to Canada. Hope this helps. I had MRSA in my hip replacement. Pain was horrendous. Treatment was drastically different to what you appear to need.

Bonnie,

I have not found any requirement of pasteurizing or heat treating Manuka honey in Canada. Raw honey is commonly sold in Canada.

Hi, if there's infection, bandage with a paste of castor oil and turmeric, can use any healing oil in place of turmeric. Once infection drawn out, simply apply manuka or any raw organic honey. Eat one teaspoon of turmeric spice every four hours, can bump this with half teaspoon coconut oil, every four hours. If possible, work up to one teaspoon organic coconut oil every four hours. Take zinc daily and vitamin c. The honey dressing, simply after showering apply with new.

You have gotten many excellent suggestions so far. I have used many of them for stubborn infections with good results.

One time my son had a stubborn staph infection. Even with turmeric and honey and other remedies, it didn't heal up until I got him totally off sugar and added homemade milk kefir to his diet.

We have also used hydrotherapy in conjunction with other remedies. It seemed to really take healing to the next level with on particular infection. It seems too simple but it has worked several times for us. You will use 2 bowls of water - one with warm water and one with cool. Alternate a cloth soaked in each and wrung out and applied to the wound. Begin with cool for 1 minute. Then warm for 1 minute. Then cool for 1 minute. For a total of seven minutes. The cool reduces inflammation and the warm increases blood flow to the area.

Keep us posted!

Hi Sita (Texas) -

You've had some very good replies regarding your MRSA wound.

I would like to add activated charcoal to the list (as well as using honey, silver, etc.). There are even bandages available in the U.S. that combine the silver with the activated charcoal - double the effectiveness.

Also, there are excellent suggestions on Earth Clinic's MRSA page (11 pages of them!):

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/mrsa.html

It addresses external applications as well as taking things internally to help fight the infection.

One that stood out was using bentonite clay with silver (made into a paste). She called it a miracle cure after trying so many other things. It's under the heading Bentonite Clay + Colloidal Silver from the link above.

It might be more trial and error for awhile, but I'm sure you will find the solution that works for you.

Take care,

Tessa

Hi Sita.

You have a skin wound so its expected you have some surface staph. Treating the staph won't heal the wound. You need to treat topically with maybe some sulfur cream (or about 10% flowers of sulfur with Vaseline or coconut oil) ...or, I believe even better, simply apply some of the slippery juice from a comfrey leaf-stalk.

If I might ask, are you on a statin drug? Amazingly, statins are still being prescribed for lowering cholesterol. Statins have been shown to cause neuropathy which leads to diabetic-type wounds in the extremities caused by lack of blood-flow. Blood-flow equals your body's healing-response. Ergo, lack of blood causes the skin to die--which causes pain. It is the lack of blood that makes extremity-wounds difficult to heal.

Get a bottle of Alpha Lipoic Acid (200 mg is fine) and take one in morning and perhaps another after your evening dinner. This should improve blood-flow to your extremities to promote healing from the inside out. As for the actual surface, sulphur will help but I hope you can find some growing comfrey. If so, select a leaf with a long stalk and pull it at the base; rupture the stalk gently with your teeth for several inches; then apply the exuding slippery juice to the wound. Do this several times during the day and especially before bedtime. Leave the wound open to the air (unless you have flies about, in which case do cover the treated wound but very lightly).

Hello Sita,

There are many studies showing that colloidal silver can have synergy with antibiotic as well as cause bacteria to become sensitive to and antibiotic that the bacteria has become resistant to, so taking oral colloidal silver (CS) along with the antibiotic should increase the effectiveness of the antibiotic and colloidal silver itself kills staph infections.

Since this staph infection is stubborn, it will likely be useful to take oral Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) at the same time as the CS and antibiotic, a very potent antibacterial combination. You can also get GSE in liquid form to apply topically to the actual lesion. Since you now have CS, apply the CS and the liquid GSE to a folded cotton cloth (at least three layers thick) that will more than cover the lesion (5" x 5"?). Place this cotton pad on the lesion and secure in place by wrapping an ace bandage around your ankle to hold it in place and to keep it from drying out to quickly. The CS will mainly be active when wet, so keeping it wet is important in order to get quick relief! This inside out approach should be highly effective.

I've had MRSA on my leg twice, and yes, it's painful. The first time I took antibiotics without any change, then a salve the Dr gave me - sorry, I don't remember what it was, but it worked eventually.

About 5 years ago I got it again. I hit it with every home remedy I could think of such as crushed garlic and turmeric mixed with coconut oil under a small cloth bandage from old t-shirt. Left the turmeric on at night.

The two that finally helped the most was turpentine and oregano oil squeezed from a capsule, one at a time, right on it and covered with a small cloth bandage held on with tape. I alternated each several times the first day and by the next day I could see it shrinking. Kept it up for 4 - 5 more days till it had disappeared completely.

Also took the oregano in capsule form, 1500 mg. Three caps 3 times a day.

These days I keep a good quality turpentine and oregano oil caps on hand at all times along with Olive Leaf Extract/OLE. Turpines in the tree sap keep it protected from most infections and has been used since old Egyptian times. You can find a study done in France on the subject of turpines.

Worked for me, hope you get the help you need from all these suggestions.

My brother in law has this over 1-1/2 years. many doctors many treatments. Last doctor said he had no idea why problem was still there.

He told him at this point to try Manuka Honey. Applied and covered fresh a few times a day. After a few months, it was healed closed.

I don't know which brand or strength he took Or how much he put in and on his wound but he is not a natural healing person and was at his wit's end and begrudgingly tried it Only because the dr suggested it as a last resort But it worked. From everything I have read on these kinds of wounds, It is a long slow healing process and consistency and patience is the key.

I would stay away from antibiotics and eat Probiotic with Prebiotic food to help the immune system.

Search Jim Humble, MMS and you can read about Chlorite Solution NaClo2 + HCI. I don't know if it works, but there is a video out there in which a person who lived in the Dominican Republic, used this to clear up MRSA problems, with which he says he was afflicted. You'll need to do your own research because I don't know that much about it. I just saw the video through happenstance during a search on skin infections. Actually, I think Earth Clinic has lots of info on MMS, so you can probably just search this site itself to learn more.

My partner had a bad case of Staph B that was first diagnosed as MRSA. We finally found a bandage tape that had silver threads running thru it. I can't remember the name, it's been years, BUT, I just googled and there are several. They use it in hospitals and it made ALL the difference. The silver killed the infection. In the end, he finally did antibiotics but the silver tape/bandaging did most of the work. Worth the investment!

According to a massive (70,000+ people), multi-year nutritional study recently completed by Loma Linda University, vegans have more disease fighting biomarkers than omnivores. I know it's kinda general for what you're going through, but going vegan with more veggies and less fruit, helped me get over a bad case of staph in Hawaii.

A vegan diet was found to produce the healthiest levels of diet-related biomarkers compared to other diet patterns, according to a Loma Linda University study. The study was reported last month in The Journal of Nutrition.

Like clues at a crime scene, biomarkers in blood, urine, fat tissue and other biospecimens can serve as indicators or predictors of health and disease. Biomarkers may have favorable or unfavorable health effects, promoting or preventing cancer, cardiovascular and age-related diseases, and other chronic conditions.

Researchers at the School of Public Health found that a vegan diet outperformed other vegetarian diets, all of which fared better than non-vegetarian diets.

I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Recipe for the Turmeric concoction

  • 2 tsp Bragg's apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 8 oz or 1cup hot water

Turmeric powder mixed with coconut oil can be applied topically. Cover with gauze bandage and tape.
You can take 500 mg to 1500 mg capsules instead Two or three times a day. Each capsule has a 1/4 tsp in it as I measured one time. Turmeric excellent for staph or MRSA. My son had a large place on his thigh and thought a spider bite. Went through three rounds of antibiotics, but the turmeric is much faster and better for a person than antibiotics. Turmeric is great for inflammation and pain. He now takes a T capsule everyday. The doctor said the staph and MRSA live in our noses. Everyone's noses. Depends on your immune system whether or not you have a flare-up.

Good luck and God's blessing!

Take 3000mg (3gr) of Niacinimide per day for three months. This will cure you. Once you are cured, make it 500mg Niacinimide per day for prevention. I suggest to use the brand Now Foods Niacinimide 500mg, which already has cured one similar case to yours (so at least we know that this brand worked).

You could try bathing the wound with a borax solution. The high alkalinity kills bacteria, viruses and fungal infections.

Earth Clinic has a great section on borax.

I would dissolve a quarter of a cup of borax in a bowl of warm water and bathe the wound 2 or 3 times a day until it has (hopefully) healed.

1. Try applying coconut oil directly to the wound several times a day. Coconut oil is anti-microbial - it fights off viruses, bacteria, fungus and more.

2. Alternatively, ask your doctor for a prescription for Silvadene.

Silver sulfadiazine, sold under the brand Silvadene among others, is a topical antibiotic used on burn victims to prevent infection.

3. Speak out loud to the Angel of Healing and ask for help healing the wound. (out loud catches the Angel's attention better than thinking it)

Good luck to you. This will pass.

Sita, lots of great suggestions, to which I'll add my two cents worth:

To any kind of salve or paste or oil you put directly on the wound, I suggest adding colostrum powder (you can buy it in powder form or open a capsule). It will help the healing of the skin, plus it's a nice binder for a wet paste as a bonus practicality. It's made all the difference for several wounds in family and friends and myself. (Any amount that works for the consistency will be fine, just getting it in the concoction is important, Just make sure it's not past expiration date and notice some brands need refrigeration, although I can't say if they are better or not, we've had success with shelf stable just as well.)

Wishing you great success, and please come back and write again what you try and what helps, thanks.

You need to try Tea Tree Oil on a cotton bud up your nose. I know this might sound crazy when the infection is not expressing here but Staph has it's headquarters in the sinus cavity. My partner got a really bad boil years ago and 2 courses of antibiotics didn't even budge it. I researched and found out about the tea tree and it worked. He used it twice a day and it will make you sneeze and has a slight burn for a minute or 2 but stick with it, it works.

I had MRSA on my hand and they had me going in for intravenous antibiotics and that seemed to stop it from progressing but it would not go away. I came across a lady in England that told me to apply rosemary essential oil. So I did and believe this or not, within hours I could tell a difference. Looking back I believe the MRSA was killed directly and then it took a few days to heal the wound. It worked for me and I have since used the Italian herbs essential oils rosemary oregano and time for infections and injuries for myself and other people with great success.

I have come to realize the medical profession is not in the business of healing and curing, but they do have the best diagnostic ability and emergency rooms in the world but greatly ending there. The statement I was told they go by is "there is no money in a well man." sounds reasonable,

Best wishes. if the rosemary works and it is convenient I would like your feedback about it.

ps: you pour it directly on and in the wound and internally if needed I only used it topically.

I would use Chlorine Dioxide Solution (CDS) right away. It's safe and gentle enough to use on 3rd degree burns, but it packs a mighty punch -kills all known germs. You'll need to buy some MMS, and you make the CDS from that. Unfortunately the website that describes how to make it is inaccessible, so I'll have to spell it all out here.

How to make CDS (Chlorine Dioxide)Put shot glass in 500ml glass jar. (Need to be able to close with a complete seal.)Pour water in jar (outside of the shot glass) until just below lip of shot glassPut 5 ml MMS in shot glass. (MMS is a 25% Sodium Chlorite solution.)Add 5 ml 4% Hydrochloric Acid Solution. Seal jar immediately. It will "smoke" and the fumes will be absorbed into the water.Put in cupboard overnight. Then remove shot glass and save contents to use as disinfectant in kitchen etc. Replace shot glass in jar. (The liquid in the jar is now light yellow). Put a further 5ml of MMS in shot glass.Add 5 ml 4% HCL solution.Save in cupboard for 24 hours. The liquid in jar is now darker yellow, and is now the strength you want to use.Remove shot glass as before.

The liquid remaining in the jar is your CDS. It can be taken internally, by adding 10ml to 1L of water, and drinking throughout the day. Or it can be used undiluted on the skin/wound.

My wife had same thing went from tiny scratch to gaping wound in 2 days, doctors were clueless and antibiotics didn't do anything to stop it. This changed everything in less than 24 hours.
