My Cat Might Have A Urinary Tract Infection

Posted by Michael (Markham, Il) on 11/23/2014

My cat just started peeing on the couch and then all over the house. It is only a little at a time but I do notice traces of blood in it. What should I do?

Hey Michael!

Ideally you would take your cat into the vet to find out if he has crystals in his urine or bladder stones, or a bacterial infection. Barring that, you might consider giving him some Apple Cider Vinegar - the raw/unpasturized type, with the active culture/'with the mother'. Mix 3 tablespoons ACv into 1 cup of water and dip your cat's paw in it - get it saturated, and allow him to lick it dry. Do this once per hour for at least 3 hours to start and watch to see if he gets better. If he does not get better you need to take him in for a proper diagnosis - JMHO!
