My Digestion Not Up To Par

Posted by Janet (Anchorage, Ak) on 06/10/2011

Question for Ted - I have digestion & allergy problems & found I'm not absorbing my nutrients. What can I do to turn this around? Been working with a Dr. for a long time and don't seem to get anywhere. Last week he told me I'm blocked and he's trying to unblock me. What can I do for myself. I was cured with ACV for Acid Reflux from this website a couple years ago. I have absolutely no energy, crave salt and sometimes sugar but really have a salt craving. I've been taking whole food supplements for a long time. I'm not digesting protein, sugars, and fats. I have a reaction to a lot of foods. Didn't notice allergies until I got older. I was an avid exerciser but have no energy to exercise so have gained unwated weight. I'm tired of being tired. Hope you can give me some advice so I can turn this around and get back to my healthy self.

Janet if you are not digesting fats, you should try digestive enzymes. A good probiotic would also be good.

If you find your digestion is out of whack, try buying hydrocloric acid.. If you look at your urine and it is cloudy it is because you are not digesting your food and not absorbing. It is washing out into your urine. Digestion starts in your stomach, if there is not enough acid or if there is too much the symptons are the same. Find out by experimenting, get some hydrocloric acid and take 2 or 3 during a meal. If it is too little it will help the indigestion, too much make it worse and just take some baking soda and water to help. If indeed it is that your stomach is not producing enough try a product called cell food. After 2 months on that my indigestion went away and I do not have to use the hydrocloric acid anymore.

Janet, try 4-6 oz glasses of organic carrot/apple/leafy green (no spinach) juices, made in a masticating juicer, several times a day.

Gokhals, why not spinach?

Spinach contains oxalates, that when taken in quantity might cause kidney stones. Best to eat spinach cooked or in small quantities in salads.
