Friend Diagnosed With Discitis (Infection in Between the Discs in Spine)

Posted by Michael (New Zealand) on 08/09/2021

Hello Folks,

Has anybody out there any wise thoughts on the natural treatment of DISCITIS (if any?) please.

I had never heard of it until five minutes ago when we heard that a friend has been diagnosed with it.

The conventional treatment would seem to be pretty demanding, as, in part, it involves getting daily anti-biotics to the spinal discs where the blood supply is poor or non-existent. The cause is either bacteria OR a pesky virus I think.

It only affects one in 100,000 people apparently but is severely debilitating / serious for the poor sod who contracts it and treatment needs to be done ASAP in order to mitigate the consequences.

Any information on assisting with natural products would be most appreciated.

This guy's lifestyle is EXTREMELY active by the way but NOT entirely pristine on the diet side if you know what I mean.

BTW we just had a Kiwi Olympian who, had she been a "Country", would have scored twenty second on the world's medal list!! As they say in cricket "How's That!! ". The women won more medals than our men - not fair!!

Cheers from Down Under

Hi Michael,

I would give consideration to either Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) with DMSO applied topically to the spine and Colloidal Silver (AgNPs) with DMSO applied topically to the spine. If these are not available, I would consider ionic silver applied topically to the spine. GSE is not to be confused with grape seed extract. GSE and AgNPs are broad spectrum antimicrobials that can deal with bacterial, viral and fungal infections. I thoroughly clean and rinse my application area where I put DMSO on myself prior to application.

When I use DMSO as a transdermal penetration enhancer, I apply it first and allow it to react with the dermal layers for about 5 minutes, and then apply whatever the active agent is that I am using. Good luck and keep us posted on your friend!

Thanks a lot, Art: you have come up with the Good Oil as per usual!

You are much appreciated for all the work you do for others.

Cheers and be well,

Good Day, Michael.....I am late to the party, as usual!

Far infrared may help. Purchase a mat a lay on it as much as possible. Using my far infrared mat has helped me with numerous infections over the past few years.

Take care!

Oh wow,

Thanks for that Sherri: welcome advice, will pass that one on.

Welcome.....

As always, any issue requires a 'multi-prong' approach.

I am sure you know I do not mean FIR will work all on it's own, but it is truly a god-send (IMHO) for infections.

Diet, life-style, chemical exposures and so on are always part of the picture.

Best to your friend

Hi Michael. I don't know about the infection, but maybe try building up the discs by taking chicken sternum capsules and possibly the infection would take care if itself.

I had torn something down the middle of my lower back, but taking chicken sternum healed the unhinged feeling in I think a few years. I was not aware of when my back healed, but it did.

A capsule a day also healed my knees in less than 4 months. My knees were loose in their sockets, but chicken sternum filled them in.

I buy chicken sternum at SwansonVitamins.com or PipingRock.com.

Chicken sternum has type 2 collagen which builds cartilage, although it may not heal every joint. My shoulder didn't heal, but my shoulder is not painful.

Thanks Tom from Livingston, Texas!

I have already passed that good information on to where it will hopefully do some good. The remedy you suggest would seem to be establishing a good track record for this sort of problem even though the "experts" have poo pooed it for years but that's where this Site comes into its own.

I also appreciate the fact that you include recovery times in your posting: useful to know.

Thanks for taking the time,

Michael
