What Natural Remedies Can Help Sensitivity to Bright Light?

Posted by Staffan (Finland) on 07/15/2017

Hi, we have not much sunlight during half of the year, so naturally our eyes over this side of the world have not gotten used to bright sparks when the sun does come back.

It is not a serious condition, though, I was just wondering whether others have come up with something simple and alleviating for sensitivity to bright light.

Aside from obvious spinach, carrots, and beets, what other natural plants out there could be good for this?

Thank you.

I use Magnet on my eyes almost daily. If you have a refrigerator Magnet, place it over each eye for a few minutes daily.

As for foods, Brazil Nuts have lots of Selenium which in turn boost body's natural Glutathione which is the Eye's first line of defense. Next food is Pumpkin Seeds which contain lots of Zinc which is critical for healthy eyes.

Also, the Carotenoid rich foods you mentioned might not be properly absorbed if there is infection in the gut, so be sure to have a healthy gut.
