Natural Remedies Not Helping Recurring Yeast and Bacterial Infections

Posted by Susan (Ct) on 12/12/2015

I have been getting Yeast Infections and BV for years about once a month. I always went to the gyno and got the medication which is just a hassle in itself. It worked but then the next month I'm back at the doctors again. I do have a sugar addiction but I don't think it's fair to give up my sweets for this. But I'm also going completely insane and physically and mentally can't handle the discomfort anymore. I hate drugs and prefer the more natural, organic, cruelty-free way but nothing has worked. I've douches with ACV, bathed in it, took the capsules for a few months, I put a clove of peeled garlic in my vag for 4-8 hours at a time. I drink a lot of water. I just ordered candida cleanse garlic pills so I'm hoping they'll work but until then does anybody have the same problem as myself as far as nothing natural is working?

Susan, much as you hate giving up sugar, that is precisely what is feeding your "baddies"....

Hi Susan, Try extravirgin coconut oil internally and topically too. EVCO is great antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial oil. I always take it daily during my pregnancy to avoid any vaginal infection, UTI and etc, and very successful after using it never has had any infection in last three years. Wish you good health and healing but you must avoid sweets and sugar at any cost to heal quickly.

Hello Susan, your yeast infection sounds painful.

I find organic coconut oil, which is antifungal, very helpful with thrush or yeast infections. It seems to clear up in two to three days. Also Aloe Vera gel - organic and not perfumed, its very soothing and will help. I also use Milk of magnesia under my breasts where I get fungal infections especially when it's very warm, and I find with coconut oil at night and the magnesium in the day time, it soothes and also clears it up. However I'm not sure if you could use Milk of magnesia in your vagina. But you could try Espom salts bath which would sooth the area infected and keep it alkaline so not friendly to fungal growth.

I hope this helps. But you need to cut the sugar, fungus loves sugar, Read Bill Thompson ( from EC site) book " Candida: Killing You Sweetly" I think the title is. And extra magnesium and other minerals may help reduce the craving. Good luck.
