Natural Remedies Not Working So Far for My Leukemia

Posted by Aspy Mehta (New Delhi, India) on 02/09/2016

Hi, I have been diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) in October 15 and since the last four months my leukocyte count has jumped to 42000 with swelling of lymph nodes in the groin.

I have got onto the Budwig diet but it does not seem to make much difference. I really don't want to go for the traditional Chemo route. I take turmeric, a bit of wheat grass and juices , but am not sure whether the quantities are enough to make any difference.

I would be grateful for anyone to give me advise on how to control/ reduce my WBC count.

I have read that Colloidal Silver has been known not to kill Cancer cells, but to return them to normal. You might want to invest in a generator to make your own at home and then start on some massive doses to start. Do not worry about turning blue or grey either. You should read some of the posts on this site and then do a little research - I think you'll find its worth trying.

You may want to check out Gerson therapy as it combines detoxing the body and juicing. You may get better results this way. They haved saved many people in late stages of cancer.

I would like to give you some encouragement. I was diagnosed with CLL July 2001, when I was 46. I was totally freaked out. I'm still here and doing very well, today, the Friday after Thanksgiving 2016, and I've never gone the chemo route. (That said, I know many CLL-ers who have gone the chemo route and then gone on to live well by using the natural protocols. So if it gets dire, get the conventional help in the short term. But to live long, go natural!!! ) I've not cured myself. I still have the diagnosis. I've had to make many changes, and unfortunately there is not one magic bullet that will fix this. If you think of this in the really big picture, it's about what you put in and what you don't and how you treat your body and your life. So...in order not to make your body fight toxins, eat organic (I eat meat, chicken, fish, vegetables, fruit). Don't eat sugar, gluten, MSG, GMO. Avoid processed foods. Yes, it is a big commitment to cook everything from scratch, but it's a lot better than going the chemo route, and you get to live! What made my WBC drop precipitously the first time was never burning food, cooking low and slow ONLY. This means no chips, no deep fried anything. (Once again, stay away from processed foods.) My all-time high WBC was 47.5 in 2012. My most recent was 17.3. It can be done! (Think slow-cook stews, soups, low-flame stir fries with zero burning or browning---it's actually delicious! ) The organic way extends beyond your eating. Don't clean with toxic chemicals. Use inexpensive white vinegar, peroxide, whole lemon (shower walls), baking soda, organic dish soap. After doing this for a while, I couldn't believe how toxic something like Ajax smells. It's good for the environment, too. Get eight hours of sleep! Sleep on all-cotton, preferably organic. Reduce your stress. (This is a challenge when you're worrying about CLL or any cancer, but it can be done. Some people meditate. I read or write for my meditation-like state.) Get a good water filter for your kitchen and shower and drink and cook with only filtered water. Take cooking classes (check out your local Weston Price Foundation for classes) or buy natural food books, if this will help. It will take time and commitment, but it's so worth it! About supplements, I take a boatload. The main ones I know have made a difference in CLL include vit D. Get your levels checked and take 9000 to 10,000/day, in divided doses, until your vit D hydroxy test is up in the 80s or 90s. Drop back to 9000 or 8000/day if you reach a test marker of 100 or more. It is more dangerous to have a low Vit D score than a high one. Ask your doctor for a vit D test 'every time' you have a blood test. It's that important! Next...take at least 3000mg of vit C each day. I take it in divided doses. Peak immune (by Daiwa) has helped my neutrophil level (germ fighters, if they get too low you die from secondary infections, and mine like to dip low now and then if I'm not on the Peak Immune---take as directed on the bottle). Take probiotics every day. Switch out the brands to get different good bugs in your system. Better yet, or also, eat fermented foods like saurkraut, pickles, pickled anything, etc. Go to youtube to look up how to do this, or once again, classes from your local Weston Price Foundation. Also take digestive enzymes with every meal, and HCL betaine. The better you digest your food, the better your health. The good news and the bad news is that there is not one thing that works. All of it works together. I have given up on "curing" myself (that was my goal for YEARS), and now I am satisfied to keep on living (and living well) with my new lifestyle. It is so worth it. I've lived to see my sons get married and have their own children. Being a grandparent is the ultimate joy! I'm grateful to be here. I'm not afraid anymore, and that's huge! I do blog about this at CLLalternatives. It is a non-profit, nothing for sale site where I sporadically share what I'm doing. Because of this I have many CLL buddies around the world, and we all learn from each other. Wishing you well! - Denise
