Need Advice For Husband Who Drinks

Posted by Anna88 (Mannheim, Germany) on 07/27/2011 6 posts

Hello, My husband is habitual drinker. He drinks daily 1L wine or 6 beers daily. During our three years of marriage I have seen him drinking after work and at night before dinner. We are trying to concieve but due to his low sperm motility are not yet sucessful. I have made all my efforts to convince him to quit drinking but all in vain. He is not willing to stop drinking thats why I cant take help of a doctor. Can I use Ted's Remedies for alcoholism? Is it safe to do detox at home? if my husband is willing to do that because he also wants to be a father of a baby. Can I use kudzu with folic acid, B3, B complex, lecithin and magnesium? Can you suggest me what must I have to do? What home remedy will be suitable for my husband.

Yeh the problem is that in a man who drinks , is that the testosterone is turned into estrogen. The reverse happens in women. The downside is the lowered sperm production.. The upside is I bet hes got a healthy head of hair. Garlic will also lower sperm production as well. He will have to knock off the beer and wine .

Hiya, haven't read the thread but saw the response from Gavin while I'm searching for some other info. on todays posts...

Re. eliminating alcohol; I have "the alcoholic's gene" as Mother always said. Went through a fifteen year bout with binge drinking, black-outs, alc. Poisoning, no social gatherings without it. Slippery slope that one.

Turns out once I mastered my diet I no longer crave- or even much like the stuff. Us kiwi's (in particular) really need to keep an eye out- our food/farming/soil content is MUNTED, so even if you're eating veges you'd want to know they're as organic/biodynamic as possible, same with meat I'm afraid. It is the only way you'll meet the B complex nutrition to prevent an alcohol dependency. Dad died of complications of alcoholism, same with his mother and her brothers. I have siblings who are possibly coming close, and I had a narrow escape. That said, I still love a glass of pinot in a bar for old times sake, but go home and forget about it for the next year or so. Please read 'Nutrition and Physical Degeneration' by Weston A. Price and cure yourself/alcohol issue with food.
