Posted by Bee (New York, NY) on 01/20/2015

Does anyone know what would be the same as taking Xanax or something for nerves.. something that it is an herb or homeopathic but would work right in the exact moment the panic is happening? Thank You.

hi Bee, homeopathic tablets "tense aid" have worked wonderfully for someone who had a break down and after coming off their st johns wort at times would studdenly not cope. These episodes were frequent in the first 6 months and often in the next 6 months. The tense aid worked better than anything and is easy to carry andjust pop under the tongue when needed. They are not expensive, unfortunately not available here locally but were sourced via the internet.

Regular magnesium is also vital, if you are already on it then you may still need more. Try rubbing magnesium oil on your body to get more. All the best in your journey to health, God bless

Hello Bee,

Bach's Rescue Remedy drops are wonderful for sudden nervousness and panic attacks. Nutri Calm from Nature's Sunshine is good for prevention. It's basically a B vitamin complex with calming herbs. Also try taking a 5000 mg liquid or sublingual B 12 daily. B vitamins are vital emotional/central nervous system support.

I had panic attacks for 40+ years and cured them with inhaling Hydrogen Peroxide. I was inhaling the H202 just to oxygenate my body and curing the panic attacks was a side benefit. I think the attacks were gone in a couple of weeks. I always assumed the panic attacks were psychosomatic but they turned out to be a physical problem, for me at least.
