Need Remedy for Boy Who Stepped on Rusty Nails ASAP
ADDRESSING THIS TO ALL OUR SITE'S SMART PEOPLE........ went by to pick up our HS boy this morning and he was limping because he had stepped on a broad loaded with rusty nails at his home. His mom was going to take him to a doctor, but I don't have good feeling about this.
He had already poured H202 over it but said that it was oozing this morning. I am concerned. Can you help?

To Robert Henry,
Re possible Tetanus...
Or some other infection from the rusty nails.
Well, Robert Henry, you well know the anti bacterial and viral stuff propagated all the time on EC...at least from me...
IF me, I'd soak in Colloidal Silver...multiple times, drink it etc...over a week AND use Echinacea topically and orally; tea tree oil. I'd treat it as a potential bacterial (tetanus possibly) or virus. I'd throw the kitchen sink at it...iodine...isopropyl alcohol....etc

Dear Robert Henry, I am sorry to hear about this boy's foot! Do you know if he is current on his Tetanus shot? Is the oozing clear fluid or puss? Any red streaks? I would use charcoal poultices or bentonite clay poultices. Changing them every 2 hours and maybe doing Epsom salt soaks in between. I would also use a teaspoon of turmeric 4 times a day or 4 capsules 4 times a day internally. It is my favorite herbal antibiotic.. Colloidal silver would be great to add internally as well. Even if he is current on Tetanus shots, other bacteria could cause infection. The above is what we use for that kind of thing. I hope he feels much better soon. I trust you will keep us posted. ~Mama to Many~

Dear ORH,
I would bathe the wounds in iodine, and in between that soak them in hot water with Epsom salt.
Puncture wounds are hard to disinfect.
It sounds like his oozing may be because his body is still trying to expel some bad stuff. Clear oozing wouldnt worry me much. Puss or colored oozing would.
I'm sure you know....any red streaks or fever means a trip to the doctor or E.R. ASAP.
Please keep us posted, thinking good thoughts.

Not to overstep my bounds ORH, but has the young man tried soaking his foot in his own urine for a spell? It is more helping than not, and may provide the healing he needs without the 'traditonal intervention'. Urine has definite healing capabilities if given time, and is of his own body, which can't hurt. Beats spending time getting your foot drilled out by the allopaths (spoken from experience). Wishing all the best to the young lad...

HI U GOD FEARING FOLKS DOIN, , , , , , , , , , , thank you for your response to our young field hand. Just got off the phone with him and he is now fine. His Tetanus shot was still in effect and his parents have been soaking his foot in H202 and Epsom Salt.
They are good people, but with limited resources. That was my concern as they did not take him to a doctor. They are the working poor. Our Gov takes care of our non working poor, but not poor folks that work. Is that a sad commentary or what?
Thank all for your concern. I learned something in this exercise. Your urine is a therapy.

In myself, I would immediately start a course of high dose colloidal silver since it is a broad spectrum antibacterial as well as a broad spectrum antiviral. I would also wrap the area of the wound with a rag soaked in colloidal silver and wrap that with an ACE bandage wrap to hold it in place and rewet as often as needed to keep it wet at the area of the wound. I'm just saying what I would do for myself under those circumstances, not recommending that any one else do the same.

The best treatment for a nail puncture to the foot is to soak the foot in a small tub of warm water with 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and betadine. The peroxide will bubble up into the nail wound and kill any pathogens. The betadine also will bubble into the wound and help with the killing process.
