Needs Treatment For Cellulitis In Artificial Knee

Posted by Norm (Ottawa, CA) on 11/01/2014

I had a bad bout of cellulitis in my leg in 2013. After two months of taking antibotics, I got a clean bill of health.

I received an artificial knee a year later in the same leg. Six month later, the cellulitus came back. They operated, opened up my knee and flushed out the infection, although they were not optimistic of success. I have been on antibiotics for two months, and will continue to be on them for three more weeks.

My doctors say there is a high probability the infection is still in my knee - they say it's difficult to remove - and that I should expect to have two more operations. One operation to remove the infected artificial knee, and then after six weeks of antibiotics, to have a new artificial knee.

I have read about manuka honey as a treatment for cellulitis. Can anyone advise me if this, or any other alternative treatment might be effective in removing the infection from my artificial knee.

Sincere thanks!

Norm

Norm: I have been in deep w/ bone & joint infection for couple yrs. My first line of defense is Magnet therapy fallowed by Zapping. I am finally showing some improvement of late but still zapping aggressively. Zapped my right knee for nearly 2 hrs today.

I have had some success w/ Solonpas adhesive patches but had to discontinue due to the synthetic fragrance in the product, but the natural Mentholyptus and Camphor are effective pathogen killers.

Norm: Forgot to give this link to E.C. Cellulitis page https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/cellulitis.html in first post.

Also, the combination of Vit-C & MSM taken together has made big improvements in my case. Whenever one has artificial body parts like stents, or bone replacement, the big downside is infection adhering to those surfaces. Researchers have now found the stealth-like presence of infection is due to Biofilms. One must first penetrate the film to then kill the infection w/ whatever kinda antibiotic. Common biofilm remedies is Turpentine, Nattozimes or Serrazimes, and very possibly also Uva Ursi herb. Common non-convention antibiotics include Colloidal Silver, Hydrogen Peroxide, MMS, and herbs like Grapefruitseed, Oregano, Olive Leaf, Uva Ursi, Neem.

Actually whilst Manuka honey is excellent, ordinary raw honey will still do the same thing for a much cheaper alternative...but understand that honey has an enzyme within it that acts like hydrogen peroxide. and when applying it, it will burn, not literally... but will immediately attack the virus .Put onto clean cloths or dressings, a good smear and wrap like you'd normally do. Very important to leave on until the pain stops (for at least 3 days) and don't change the bandage until you are pain free. I used it once and took the bandage off after a couple of days and the skin underneath was like baby skin but it's only been since then that I've been told the correct way to do it...but the guy I buy my honey from in the bush, has heard of wonderful cures using honey.

So Manuka is best and the price matches the advertising that goes with this, but then ALL raw honey is antibacterial also. Hope this has helped...
