90 Year Old Mom Needs Urgent Help With Painful Arthritic Knee
Our 90 yr old mother has a very bad, painful arthritic knee (bone on bone) that is starting to radiate to her quad and hip. Her leg is also bending inward making her limp. She also had dementia. We've tried cocks comb and other gel injections, arnica, castor oil rubs, Voltaren, ACV, DMSO creme.
One of her care givers seems to think the arnica helps more than the others. The others haven't a clue. We're considering either PRP or Stem Cell Therapy but due to its expense and her being on a limited budget, we'd like to find something more affordable. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

If Arnica was helpful, you might try a topical pain reliever called StoPain roll-on available at Walgreens and Walmart or online suppliers. Another consideration is Salonpas patches also available at most stores.
At 90, she doesn't sound like a candidate for knee replacement surgery. One other consideration is contacting a "compounding pharmacy", explaining her situation and asking for recommendations for compounded topical pain relievers that will be the strongest topicals available. Thank you Art. I spent the day with her 2 days ago. The pain is so intense she will gasp, hold her breath and shiver until the ache subsides. By 3pm she was exhausted from the pain. We have an appointment to see if she's a candidate for PRP or Prolo Therapy. We're sure she will be, due to the cost (haha), and will look for a doctor for stem cell replacement if PRP or Prolo Therapy. Off to purchase your suggestions. Many blessings to you and EC.
