OSTEOARTHRITIS PAIN TERRIBLE
Hello,
About a month ago when I woke up and stood up I heard a crunch in my right knee it was a little sore not bad at all. That day I had an appt. with my acupuncturist. I told him about the crunch I heard. When he put the new needle in my knee two hours later my leg swole up about three times it's normal size. It hurts like the dickens now the pain won't go away and I can barely walk. I used a hot castor oil pack but did not help. I also used Voltaren did not help either I just used Magnesium oil. it only helped a tiny bit. A friend told me to take Diclofenaco tabs. I take meds for High blood pressure said I could not take it if I have High blood pressure.
I am in tremendous pain has anyone ever gone through this and is now ok?
Blessings,

Many posts about LDN here. LDN is exceptionally good for pain.
Many posts about homeopathy for the type of pain you describe.
I personally was crying from the severe upper body - pain-shouldeblades, shoulders, upper arm, neck, clavicle…luckily I live in Jacksonville, Florida, where the 5 Element acupuncture school is located. They have clinical programs where students treat patients under supervision, and these programs accept patients from the community. Not only did I have the extended(very affordable) acupuncture treatments (after a thorough evaluation of the state of my health) but also homeopathic treatments that included homeopathic injection. They get homeopathic remedies for injections from Germany.
You can get such treatments from a practicing acupuncture practitioner but it is very expensive and one treatment takes more than an hour. Just after ONE session my pain was gone, I know sounds too good to be true, yet my chronic, excruciating on and off pain in that region is now 1-2 on my bad days.
So please review posts about LDN, homeopathy and acupuncture for osteoarthritis P.S. I do have, confirmed by the scans not only osteoarthritis in my upper body bones, but degeneration and even a collapse of C4.

Go back to your acupuncturist. Don't dismiss him. Sometime healing starts with an aggravation. I once fainted during an acupuncture session. When your body energy shifts anything can happen. Temporarily.

My dad had eczema all his life. He was getting regular treatments of his other health problems at various balneoresorts. We live in a country where balneological treatments are the part of the mainstream healthcare (they work well for chronic health problems, for recovery after surgeries, accidents, long illness, etc ). Once he was getting treatments in a new (different mineral content of the thermal water) resort. He got so ill he had to be hospitalised. He thought he was dying. He recovered and his 30 plus eczema was gone for good. The resort was not exactly catering people skin disorders. Eczema is an external manifestation of internal imbalances, so to speak. So don't panic. Fear kills.
Hi Mary,
If you have an actual diagnosis of osteoarthritis (OA), many people have found very significant benefit from borax, including myself for the past 17 years. My psoriatic arthritis (PA) was severe and I became pain free after 3 months with significant benefit apparent in the first month.
Here is a link to the Earth Clinic (EC) page on Borax that explains how to use :
https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/borax.html
To help with pain relief until the borax starts working, I would suggest you consider 1 or both of these two remedies, melatonin lotion (ML) or Stopain roll on.
Here is a link to what people have to say about ML and how to make it at home :
https://www.earthclinic.com/supplements/melatonin-lotion.html
Here is a link to Stopain which is available at most Walgreens and Walmarts :
Borax is also helpful for osteopenia and osteoporosis.
Because of your high blood pressure and and any other health issues you may have, you will have to get your doctor's approval and supervision in order to try these remedies.
A word of caution regarding Voltaren Gel. If you read the insert inside the box, Voltaren Gel is not meant to be applied to larger areas of the body as it is very significantly absorbed through the skin and it is a potent NSAID.
Good luck, Mary and keep us updated on your progress!

Hi Art...I have OA and a possible diagnosis of RA. I am intrigued by this borax protocol but am really scared about taking it. But I'm more scared about my future with these diagnosis. I know it's not a cure but if it could slow down the progress I am all in. How do you take it? And do you take anything else with it? I thought I read you should take magnesium with it...which I already do, but just wondering if there is anything else. Thanks for any advice you can give a scared gal!!
Hi Pam,
I totally understand about the fear aspect of taking Borax. When I first bought a box of Borax, it sat on a shelf in my kitchen for about three months before I got up the nerve to test it. My psoriatic arthritis was severe and the pain finally won out and I started taking Borax faithfully. I used Ted's dosing instructions for men and within the first month, benefit was readily apparent and all pain was gone in three months.
Borax does not work for everyone, but it appears to work for many, myself being one that it does work for. For me Borax has been a miracle.
Here are several links to Earth Clinic (EC) pages that explain how Ted suggested to use Borax for arthritis as well as its safety :

Good luck, Pam and please let us know how your testing goes.

Hi Art...I bit the bullet! I started yesterday with the Walter Last protocol dosing. I took my first teaspoonful added a bit more water and swallowed it like a shot. Didn't care for the taste so today I put it in my coffee. So far, so good...had a little loose bowel but that's not a big deal to me. I read that Walter Last recommends increasing the intake to 3 teaspoonfuls per day spaced out for people with arthritis, menopause, etc. which I have. Given that I just started yesterday, when should I increase to 2 teaspoons/day and then 3 teaspoons/day? Also, do you think this is the best way I should be taking it to get the best benefit of helping with these issues? I read about Ted's dosing and it seems like you get more his way but I don't think I can drink it like that...I have very sensitive taste buds! And, while I do drink a lot of water every day (reverse osmosis), I know I wouldn't be able to drink it with the taste of the borax in it...shoot, I can't even drink spring water it tastes so bad to me!!
If this protocol should work for me (pray that it does) what can I expect as far as my arthritis goes? I know you can't give a definitive outcome, but maybe you can tell me what others have had happen to them. For example, does it just slow down the progress? Or will the calcium deposits on my fingers actually go away? Mine is mostly in my hands...some fingers on my hands only bend at the middle joint and no longer bend at the joint by the tip. Some days the pain is worse than others but I know it will get worse without any sort of treatment. I have a hard time making a fist and my grip strength has declined. But I'd be fine if they stayed like they are and never got worse. Not sure if it matters but my arthritis is likely hereditary.
And, one other question (for now! ) is should I not be using toothpaste with fluoride in it?
Thanks Art...you seem to be quite knowledgeable on this and many other subjects on this site. I'm happy to have found it and look forward to engaging on this site and for some relief for my issues.
Hi Pam,
I didn't use Walter Last's (WL) mix, I used Ted's mix and that is what worked for me and what I am familiar with. So I can't comment on the WL mix and the best ways to implement it.
Ted's mix is distributed throughout the day via sipping the one quart/one liter bottle all day long. That makes Ted's mix essentially a time release formulation which should go a long way toward reducing or eliminating any potential gastrointestinal issues which you say you have already experienced using Walter Last's mix after just two days of use.
I have tried Ted's women's dose of 1/8th teaspoon in a quart/one liter of water each weekday and the taste was negligible if at all. On the other hand, the men's dose of 1/4 teaspoon in a quart/one liter bottle of water has a taste that is quite noticeable. When the taste bothers me, I add a little juice or Gatorade to counter the taste.
I can't say how borax will affect you, I can only say what it did for me. Prior to borax I had severe pain in my hips, back, shoulders, neck, ankles, one knee, elbows, wrists and feet which kept me from going for my daily walks and made my life miserable from the constant pain. After three months of borax, all of that pain was gone and has remained gone for 17 years. To the best of my knowledge, borax stopped disease progression and my affected joints feel fine.
I didn't have problems with my finger joints, so I can't comment on that issue as regards calcium deposits, but a friend wrote me to let me know that the melatonin lotion(ML) had reduced significant amounts of swelling and pain in her fingers and she told me that she wished she had taken before and after pictures so she could show me the difference. In any case she was quite happy with her results on her fingers from using melatonin lotion in conjunction with borax. I wrote about how melatonin lotion helped three of my friends with various pains and how they easily made it at home themselves here :
https://www.earthclinic.com/supplements/melatonin-lotion.html
Another friend who also had swollen fingers and could not make a fist, found that applying ML to her swollen ankles twice daily not only returned her ankles to a near normal appearance, but it also eliminated her swollen fingers and allowed her to be able to make a fist with her hands again. Applying it to her ankles with her hands apparently got enough on her hands to be effective at eliminating the swollen fingers, allowing her to make fists again without pain. Her doctor did not tell her what the cause of her swollen ankles was, but he was thinking in terms of heart, liver or kidneys and was testing those individually last I talked with her about it.
I have no comment on the use of fluoride.
