Extreme Pain From Myofascitis

Posted by Nurse Valerie (Fillmore, Utah) on 10/06/2021

I need some help for my co-worker who has myofasciitis (muscle and fascia pain).

The pain is now so severe it is affecting her work. I know it is a lot like fibromyalgia, but if anyone has some suggestions for it, I would be so grateful.

Nurse Valerie,

There is a lot of individual variation with this condition.

To get a better idea of the pain level that your friend is dealing with, it would be helpful for your friend to try a topical NSAID called Voltaren Gel 1%. This is an over the counter topical pain reliever. The idea is to see how your friend's pain level responds to it to get an idea of the best way to manage that pain, especially during mild stretching exercises which may be helpful longer term.

Another useful test will be to see how your friend responds to the use of an ice pack in the area of muscle pain.

Come back and let us know how your friend responds to Voltaren Gel and icing and then we will have a better idea of a path forward for your friend.

The only thing that has helped my myofascitis is walking, walking, walking - daily! Even if it's just 20 minutes. Very difficult to begin with. I started with one-half block, got up to 1 block, then added each week.

I have severe fibromyalgia too and recently I began doing Gua Sha which is a Chinese Healing tool to unblock fascia. I bought myself a $10 Bian Stone on Ebay and began skin scraping my body. I was shocked at how many calcified lumps I found through my body, my fascia was a mess. Skin scraping has removed so many of them already and using a red light wand is helping to dissolve these lumps too. I'm also using a very potent humic and fulvic acid which I believe is healing my whole body. The skin scraping is painful but if your friend can push through, she may regain function. I had to leave work and ended up on disability 13 years ago so I know how bad it can get. I am also extremely electrohypersensitive and mobile phones, laptops, ipad's, wi-fi etc all trigger the fibro for me so your friend might want to monitor these things.

One other thing that will help her is a manual lymph drainage twice a day. It takes 2 minutes to pump these points - starting at the clavicle (points above the collar bone towards the shoulders - cross arms over and pump 10 times), next all fingers slightly curled into the underarm and pump 10 times, inside the elbow is next, then above the naval, the next position is the groin, more on the leg side, and the last is behind the knees. I have noticed incredible improvement in my lymph system since starting this and each point now have a cave as it's no longer stagnant and blocked.

4 DAY FAST (water only, plenty of it too! ) will reset the body and help you identify things you eat or drink that are not doing you any good. Avoid acid forming foods especially aspartame, Sucralose, etc. That kind of chemical food additive will only degenerate your body...until it breaks.

Slowly reintroduce foods starting with organically grown fruits and veggies. Avoid the major food allergy foods (all forms of Milk, Wheat, Corn). Avoid red meat (arachidonic acid) and gradually introduces only one at a time. KEEP A FOOD JOURNAL...you will see patterns form and then you will see what to do.

Blessings for healing. :)
