Dog With Possible UTI But On Immune Suppression Drugs
Hi! I noticed our dog squatting more and think she has a uti or bladder infection. She does have a little blood in her urine. She was panting heavily 2 days ago when it started and I did give her ACV which she seems to be acting normal other than the sweating to pee more and still blood in urine. She is peeing less often though and no heavy breathing anymore. She is on immune suppression drugs for severely decreased platelets and was on doxycycline for a month as could have been tick related, but also immune suppression in case immune mediated process. Because of this I'm worried that her immune system is too suppressed to deal with the infection properly - she is seeing positive results from the ACV but do u think a vet visit is warranted? Thank you.

Yes, a vet visit is definitely warranted due to the symptoms you listed.

Hello T,
My cat had severe urinary/kidney issues (leaking pee, vomit, struggling to pee, inability to pee, etc..). The Vet ran labs and there were kidney issues. He only gave steroids so it wasn't much help. I tried an herbal blend that many people have had amazing results with for various bladder/kidney issues in their cats and dogs and it worked! I started with a double - triple dose, 2x/day, for a month, and then worked down to a maintenance dose (see bottle instructions).
As long as I give my cat the daily maintenance dose, 1-2x/day, he has no urinary symptoms.

With regards to the low platelet counts you may want to look at NHV pet products.
