Experiencing Hair Loss 4 Month Postpartum, Any Suggestions?
Hi. I am four months postpartum and for the past few weeks I have had lots of hair shedding. It's not breaking, whole strands and it's troubling to see when I comb it. Is there anything I can do to combat this or is this a natural process? My diet is not perfect, but healthy. I still take prenatal vitamins because I'm nursing and also supplement with b-complex, cod liver oil and magnesium. Thanks for any advice!

It's totally normal and very common. Your hair will grow back. It's due to hormonal changes. Keep on taking your supplements, and don't forget extra calcium and vitamin D before you go to sleep, as well as either vitamin K or high vitamin butter oil (to provide vitamin K). While they won't necessarily prevent your hair from shedding, they are very important for your health (and baby's too if you're nursing! )

Nursing can take a lot out of your body plus the extra stress. I bet there is a good nursing vitamin out there that could replenish you . If you are brave and not grossed out....your own urine, let set as long as you can stand it then water rinse, no soap afterwords would reset the hormone in your follicles and detox them of fungus that grows in hot water tanks that aren't hot enough. Also, 100 hairs a day falling out is normal. Hope you get results. I am old and use urine whenever too many hairs are on my clothes and works like a charm. My hair is down past my waist and still brown and thick.
