Questions about Charcoal Poultice and Salve
Hello Mama To Many, can you tell me how to make a charcoal poultice?
Like ingredients and proportions. Growing up (10 of us) my mother always had a pot of "Black Drawing Salve". Worked extremely good. Just can't find it anywhere!
I'm wondering if this is a similar product.

How to Make a Charcoal Poultice
The charcoal poultice is a similar idea to the black drawing salve. (Although there are two types of "black salve." One has bloodroot in it, for cancer, the other has charcoal in it, to use for "drawing.")
If you look up "charcoal salve" online, you will find recipes. I have been working on one myself and trying it out, but haven't perfected at all my recipe, otherwise I would share it. But you could mix some charcoal powder with some coconut oil as a makeshift salve. It is just so messy! If you find a good way to make it, please do pass along the recipe!
