What Can Help Border Collie's Red Spots and Skin Issues?
My 13yr old lab border collie gets ear infections and now his skin has been really irritated and he now has red spots all over his back and sides mainly. He has had yeast infections in the past as well and I believe that this is what it is. His diet is low glycemic and he gets chicken and cabbage. I've been bathing him about once a week trying new shampoos. The bathing seems to relieve the itching, but it starts back up in a few days. Now his coat has really thinned out with a couple bare spots. Please Help Bubba!

Hey Matthew,
Please consider taking Bubba to the vet for a full blood panel - at his great age he is due, and you should look for/rule out old age doggy issues such as changes in the thyroid. If bathing is helping you might consider upping the frequency of the baths to help stay on top of the itch to keep it at bay. Please report back!
