Advice, Remedies Needed About Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Cat

My 13 year old cat just had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from his nose, he's mostly white on the face. It was a scab like spot on his nose but was quite large as they discovered on operating. The vet told me everything looked ok now but to keep an eye on the area and his ears and so on for any sort of rash or re- occurring lesions. He mentioned something about nitrogen injections or something as a treatment??? It was very hard getting answers from him have not been 100% happy with our experience. I was just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this and any advice on holistic or natural treatments that have worked.
