Dear Tom,

I sympathize with your wife - I had gallbladder pain in pregnancy also. Has the apple cider vinegar worked? It seemed to work well for me. I have since done some gallbladder flushes (not while pregnant or nursing) and have had a lot of success. Many stones passed and pain that I had for years is gone.

Meanwhile, eating smaller meals, less acidic meals (tomatoes were always the worst for me) and sleeping in a recliner can help a lot, too.

She could try some Dandy Blend. It is a coffee substitute with chicory and dandelion. That may be a mild help if used regularly. Sweeten with some honey or raw sugar and add almond milk if desired.

I hope she feels better soon!

Yes, be sure to take a high quality, complete, Prenatal or Women's Multivitamin/Mineral supplement. Coconut Oil helps kill fungal infections which cause all sorts of digestive issues. For the healthy development of the baby be sure to consume adequate Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's) in the form of eating regular Salmon, Mackerel, or Sardines, or take a supplement of Fish, Krill, or Flax Oil.

The Dandelion herb suggestion is a good one to help increase bile flow, as is the herb Artichoke (Leaf) and more potent. Dandelion is more a nutritive herb that can be used long-term whereas Artichoke is more medicinal to be used short-term.
